Cool! I only updated to v38 based on their suggestions. But after Daniel from djlsb vapes posted his vid that he suggested v39 I haven't done it yet. I noticed on v38 it only fluctuates with ss coils, kanthal's ok. With ss the fluctuations are only .02-.07 ohms is that ok you think?

Absolutely. I had the same exact fluctuations on v38 with SS: clapton, fused clapton, twisted...didn't matter. It's only a minor fluctuation of stainless's resistance increasing upon heating. I even had it go up by .1 with no issue. However, .2 and above fluctuations would be a huge negative

Honestly, I'm still not a huge fan of it asking me (v39) if I'm using a new coil every single time I turn it on. I really hope v40 addresses this.

That's if there is a v40. For now I'm going to stay with the v38 & see.

Well, I really hope there is. It would be nice if they could improve TC on the Minikins, as I can't stand how wonky it is. I will say it improved drastically from v37 to v39, but it's not great...some mods that cost less have better TC.

Maybe the screen is defective on the left side. Maybe update the firmware?

Fyi to everyone: I updated to v39 and it os rock solid stable. My only gripe: it asks if you're using a new coil every time you tirn it on. Fluctuations are gone. Even ss claptons.

Firmware updated to v38. And used v36, v39 also. Not solved.

Yes you are right curve mode is for wattage use only. I haven't used the temp curve, haven't needed it.

During initial days Daniel, from DJLsb Vapes, mentioned he was giving Asmodus pointers for the TC; guess that didn't go too well. I still vape in wattage and so I don't mind.

I'm not a fan of their temp control at all. It's extremely wonky with SS...not sure how it runs with ni or ti. It regulates in a very jumpy way.

Yeah, TC on SS is poor. I even tried the TFR and it is OK but even the Fuchai 213 is better in TFR mode than the Minikin V2. For the price it is unacceptable to have such poor TC performance.

It is such a comfortable mod to hold though, maybe the most comfortable of any mod I have.

I concur. It has better hand-feel than many other mods more than twice its cost, yet sadly has wonkier TC than many mods nearly half its cost.

Well that sucks even more!!! Oh well, I guess it goes back in the box for now. I'm looking for a mod that has a design like the minikin 2. I looked at the rx 2/3 and didn't like the build quality. I also have a IPV D3 and absolutely love it but the single battery gets old when you have to change it frequently.

Tried the vt250s? It's smaller than the minikin in 2 cell mode
