Are these juices OK for my device?

Wow.

I have to say (in a very confusing thread and I don't even GET into nic salt discussions anymore because it just becomes a mess, there is always a fanatic or two who won't "believe" it and etc and also the marketing is OUT OF HAND=-

But in this WHOLE thread I am the most confused by allowing a subscription SERVICE to choose your nic salts for you (likely overpriced, under enjoyed brands they can get for a discount and UPSELL) when you could like do it yourself directly without a middle man.

I don't get this especially with the amount of mixing and whatnot you seem to be doing. CONFUSION!!!!

Anna
For probably most people, I see what you mean, Anna. But HSD has a point.

Yeah, if you're not one who "knows what they wants and that's the only thing that'll do," I can't see doing that. My wife got me a beer of the month club subscription a few years ago, and it was pretty cool. Many of them were not something I'd buy, but I guess that's kind of the point. I did get some interesting ones, and found brewers that I did go back to.

So i could see trying random flavor samples in small quantities for a while, if it's from a company that got you good stuff before. Maybe he'll find his favorite flavor that he never would have thought of trying.

I buy salt nic instead of reacting it at home because a) I'm afraid of doing it wrong and b) have no idea where to buy the organic acids and c) have to buy nic anyway and d) it's probably cheaper to buy it pre-reacted.
Edit: I may have misunderstood what you were referring to.

It's sort of like buying the flavor sample packs straight from TFA. Sure, I just gave away 20mL of gummy berry juice, but I only had 4mL of the concentrate to start with. I didn't need to buy 10-15 to know I didn't like it, and I ended up with probably the last batch of dram jars... Collector item? LoL

I think she meant - "Why would you buy a random flavored, possibly overpriced juice, instead of just ordering specifically what you want?"

Yeah you can like buy nicsalt juice premade (and pick stuff that is interesting in samplish size) for cheaper, probably, I do DIY but I also try stuff I think I might hate, I don't pay someone to do it FOR me is what I mean.

Okay. A subscription service FOR BEER. I'm sorry but it's BEER. Even if it's the worst beer of all time.... Okay perhaps this guy feels that way about nic salts. Even if it tastes like boiled peanuts, it's still nic salts, don't mind me.

I am anti subscription. It started with the CD subscriptions. No, Just NO, It probably started before that I just view it as a super lazy way to find out what you like.

I mean, it's a heck of a lot more fun going to a microbrewery and sampling a bunch of things and the conversation is better.... Oooh you said your wife though. I'm sure her conversation is better and if it's not you should probably NOT enter a microbrewery with the intention of tasting a bunch of pints, Etc.

I am anti subscription.
I was woolgathering the other day and came to the exact same conclusion about myself.

I dislike subscriptions because they're guaranteed money lost every month and the losses have a way of increasing imperceptibly over time. Businesses just love selling you 'services' instead of commodities:

If I buy a bottle of VG from the pharmacy it's meant to fill the need for moisturizing hands, and it'll cost $5 for 250mL. If I buy VG from an e-juice site, meant for my use case, it's $15 for 1L. If I buy the same VG from a soap making supply store I can get a 4L for $30.

A 10mL bottle of nail polish remover from a pharmacy costs the same as a liter of acetone from a hardware store, and they're the same chemical.

Buy basic ingredients in bulk whenever possible and do the rest yourself. Never let the business know how you intend to use it or they'll bill according to the application.

Do the vertical integration yourself. That's a fancy way to say: DIY saves money.

Cook your own meals.
Home brew wine or beer.
Do oil changes and brake jobs in the driveway.
Use rebuildable atomizers.
Mix your own e.juice.
When you buy appliances, tools and equipment, prioritize durability over low cost.
Something you own breaks? Youtube how to fix it.
Drink coffee? Invest in a burr grinder and a french press instead of those wasteful pods.

Why subscription juice? It's called no funds. First order got total of 150 ml for free (just $8 shipping) and loved the custard juice... also mix in some of the lemon/strawberry I got and it's great. OK third juice smells/tastes great but coil killer (learned a lesson) Second order got 130 ml for $20 (plus $8 shipping) and got a decent custard, a decent white grape/tangerine and yes, some lousy little bottle of green apple (yuck!) But... 280 ml for $36 isn't bad. I'm basically done and moving on, but it was a fun ride. My wish list : Vapetasia Killer Kustard, then Black and Blue (berries) and finally Black Note Sonata. Why did I do all this mixing? Wrong VG/PG ratios and too low Nicotine levels... those were the biggest issues and why I'm done playing the subscript game. Sometimes people don't have a choice. I do agree DIY makes much more sense! I suppose I could have just got a big bottle of strong nic unflavored juice, but wouldn't have learned much.

Yep. Anti subscription myself, generally speaking. And that beer was expensive. Still got me to try a few things though. And hey - I remember in the '70's joining Columbia House, then BMG to get 11 cassettes for a buck. I did get bit a couple of times forgetting to send in the decline for "selection of the month," and paying regular price for Gilbert O'Sullivan, and some other tape I didn't like. But that was their plan. Math was in my favor if I didn't procrastinate.

I think you did just fine. You got to try out different flavors and find out what you liked. And sounds like fun getting a box of various eliquids.

Some vendors offer good deals for new customers and those give you a chance to try more flavors. Vapewild, TheSauceLA, BlueDotVapers are a few I can think of. OmVapers has a sale on nic salts for $1.99. @Shadav made up a nice list of inexpensive deals.

Everyone should learn how to make their own eliquid so if the FDA bans flavors or they get taxed a lot you'll be okay. And it is cheaper to make your own once you get set up for it.

I use a lot of eliquid every day so I mix my own most of the time. If I only used 3 or 4 mls a day though I'd probably buy it. Just easier.

Brewdawg, blast from the past! Those are 8-track tapes... yes, I am old enough to remember those.
zelda, yes I only vape 3-4 ml a day. I will admit that I might be happier paying $20 for one really good bottle of juice. I would love to go to one of those "vape tasting" places but nothing like that close to my area. It is totally true that tastes are so subjective and different from person to person. I can't stand green apple, but apple pie with a hint of cinnamon sounds great. Also (unfortunately) all of the flavors that sound great to me are "coil killers"... coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, some natural tobaccos, ect. I also don't like too sweet, so trying all those juices helped my learn a few things... some the hard way.
