No not quite the same cr123a are 16mm in diameter and 18350's are 18mm in diameter. cr123a = 16340

No they are 3 volt nominal voltage not 3.7 volts. I believe they are also the same size as cr123a's

The cr123 batteries I have seen have all been 3v. If they have a protection circuit they are the same size as a 16340. I have 16340 batteries in both 3v and 3.7v. Please be extremely aware of what you have and the charger you use for them. A 3.7 v battery in a 3v charger simply won't charge. A 3v battery in a 3.7v (4.2v nominal) charger could be disasterous.

CR123A only means it's a 1 X 2/3 the size of an "A" battery (17500)...so it encompasses the most common 16340 and 17335 cells. The chemistry of the cell dictates the voltage and so any CR123A could be 1.2, 1.6, 3 or 3.2 or 3.7V nominally.
