I just got into carto tanks myself and this is what I have learned. A tank is a tank. Some has extra features like fill holes on the top or side. Pyrex glass or plastic, locking caps and of course aesthetics. Where you are going to succeed or fail is in your carto, with amount of holes needed and how you prime you cart. Higher VG thicker juices need more holes or slots and higher PG thinner juices you can get away with just one hole. If you punch them yourself you need to be careful not to crush the carto and position them correctly.
How well your carto will perform has a lot to do with how well you prime it and dont flood it or leave it dry.
Its a learning experience but one I believe will push my evods out the door.
This is all JMO from a new carto user but again its what I have taken away. Baditude is a great person to look up and read his blogs.
Exactly my findings thus far as well. You can have $400 phiniac custom (not that they are that pricey), but if your carto is junk/ not primed properly... well... it won't matter what kind of mod that $400 phiniac is on. It's going to be a horrid vape. God help you if you didn't prime and break in the carto right... you'll only ever fire and suck on a non primed carto once.
