I've had the same experience than crxess, none of my genuine EVODs came branded. Only one of them (a green one) has 'EVOD BCC' printed on the tank itself. I've bought and used both genuine Kanger and clone EVODS, the genuine ones all have 3 holes, the clones I got from FastTech all have 2. Another way to tell them apart may be the coils that came with them. All genuine KangerTech BCC coils I have received so far (and I got a lot of them) have continuous vertical ridges going all the way down the center post, while on all the clone heads I have seen so far the ridges only go down about half way.
Yes, the vertical ridges is probably the easiest and best way to tell.
Which markings are you asking about (I'm asking even though, as stated it won't tell the story). The Kanger emblem on the base? The words "EVOD BCC" on the tank below one of the windows? The ohm marking on the coil head? At different times they were manufactured in different ways. All three of mine have the ohm marking and tank printing but 2 don't have the Kanger emblem on the base.
I have 3 genuine Kanger and one knockoff. If I try to put the knockoff base and coil on the genuine, it doesn't screw all the way in. Some knockoff base/coils don't even make contact between the tank stem and the head grommet. Watch through the window to see how yours seals when you screw it in. Then take off the base with the head attached and screw it in to the known genuine. If they fit
perfectly, yours is probably genuine.
