It depends on what resistance you intend to run, and what the Kick you buy is limited to for amperage and minimum resistance. There are the original Evolv Kicks - 1 & 2... then all the clones.

"Matching" coil resistance/battery amperage/Kick regulation limits will be your goal for best performance.
If for example, the Kick you buy is limited to 5 amps and 15 watts, then going below around 0.6Ω is not advantagous - and may be dangerous. Understand?

Here's a chart for batteries amperage limits and recommended minimum resistance values, and a Ohms Law calculator so you match everything up for best performance and safety.

Cheers

I have a Aqua clone and just tested it with the Kick-2, it works fine with a 1.6 ohm build (2 x 0.8ohm coils). Can't comment on the Origin, But The Aqua's juice capacity is so small and being dual coil it's almost like dripping. Great flavor but constant filling.
Hope that helps.
Are your two 0.8Ω coils in series or parallel? Because it seems that you (may) have your net value backwards. If you have two 0.8Ω coils in parallel, your net resistance is 0.4Ω - if in series, then you are correct in your 1.6Ω assessment.

In my opinion not a good choice the locking ring on my Origin is to small to use with out unscrewing the end cap the aqua has a real small tank and dual coil more set up for sub ohm A good battery with 30 amps plus is a good choice
I think a Nemesis with a kick 2 and a Kayfun would be a better choice

Hello,

I want to get Origin Mod + Aqua RBA.

Can I use a kick? I read somewhere that the double coils do not work with kick. Is this true and if so, why?

What batteries it is advisable to use if I have a kick?

Thanks
