Why do you give them a water bath?

A quick warm water bath accelerates the steeping process. Some people say that an hour in warm water (and shaking periodically) speed up the process by a week. I do it to reduce the perfume-y smell/taste that some very new juices have. The ECF has a forum thread about steeping, if you're interested.

I ordered RY4 and Virginia fire cured from them about three weeks ago. They sent me a free sample of Popcorn Ball as well. The RY4 I enjoy, but as it is the 1st RY4 I've tried, I don't know how it compares to other versions. The Virginia Fire Cured is just plain nasty to me, it even smells bad, even after steeping for three weeks it has no change in flavor. My wife and son say the vapor from it smells like urine. The Popcorn Ball smells great, but the flavor is muted or something. The shipping was really quick, I ordered on a Friday morning and received it in the mail on Monday, Washington state to Indiana. Don't know yet If I will re-order from there or not yet.
