Hi all,

I'm using the new eGo-T and it works fantastic. The problem is that my juices are not playing well with the T's attys.

Some people are claiming they're getting 6 weeks from theirs, but by using DeKang, EcoPure, etc (yuck). I can't imagine using any juice other than my delicious TV's, but the thickness is reducing the atty's life to about 5 days :(

I normally order a 80/20% blend, and will try cutting that back to 100/0%. I'm just not sure if that will be enough

Anybody have any suggestions? What's the thinnest/clearest juice you've ordered from TV? Are you using the eGo-T?

I think they stink, juice is not juice running them through these little plastic tanks, every vape taste like plastic or effects the juice as far as I'm concerned, new tank, new Atty, clean them out, no matter, just doesn't work for me as far as taste,, I'm sticking to my Bottom feeder Mods and dripping, Maptanks are way better then the Ego Tanks too in my opinion, dont get me wrong, the system looks great, produces vapor, and they marketed it like it was going to be the Bomb, it isn't, but it shouldn't have been released as of yet and I think they did to only recoup money back they spent, hopefully it gets better then it is now or its a failure in my eyes.

I'm using one, I love it! You do need to clean the atties good before you use them, and after a few tanks. But I just rotate some. I like sticky sweet juices, so, needs more cleaning YMMV. Read the threads on them, good tips on getting more taste and better wicking out of them. PUshing them in all the way, rotating the tank, etc.

Like you, I like the really sweet juices too. When I 1st start a new atty, I blow it out real well. I then prime it with a few drops of juice. Works like a pro...but only 4/5 days :(

Would you mind sharing your cleaning methods? I've read other peoples maintenance tips, but would like to hear from a TV user. Also, how long are your T-attys lasting you?

Mines working fine the only con for me is less flavor which I'm not really happy about. But I find that doing a 360 every once in a while with the tank works pretty good. Now if they can get the flavor production up ill be really happy!

I'm on my 3rd atty, and it's doing that exact same thing. About every other hit I'm having to rotate the tank to get the juice flowing, and the flavor is only so-so. Funny thing is, the other 2 worked perfectly. Didn't have to rotate them at all  and the flavor was fantastic!! Maybe just a production flaw. Where did you order your T-attys from?

I've got all mine from totally wicked. I've got the two original attys from the kit and bought 3 extra.

Mine came from Liberty Flights and are branded "eGo-T" on the side of the atty.

I just swapped to a new tank, and it's working perfectly again :headbang: Since they're made of molded plastic, could have been a problem inside. Swap yours and see if that helps.

Now if I can only get it to last more than a few days :?:

I won't mention the juice I am using because this is the TV's thread, but I will say, how the ego-t performs has a lot to do with your juice and the pg/vg content. I have been using one ego-t atty exclusively for almost 2 weeks without any maintenance and it performing like it did on day one. I am running a 70/30 vg/pg blend in it.

However, several weeks ago I vaped 2 days on some juice that was a 50/50 blend and it clogged the atty--had to clean.

For cleaning, I am using heated distilled water that I am running thru the atty with a turkey baster and then soaking it for 15 mins and then blowing out. I let it dry for 24hrs and it works like new.

There is a difference between the TW atties and the eGo-T atties. TW was the first retailer in the U.S. to offer tank atties and they must have offered the 1st version, as I subsequently got some from a different vendor a week or so later and noted that the spike holes in the eGo-T atties were larger than TW's.

Hope this helps.

cheers

p.s. I have both types of tanks and that has not made any difference in performance for me.

Ive been using mine for over a week, still cant figure it out. It finally gets going then have to refill or chg tank it will taste like dirty socks, half of the juice will be gone then it works. Blow out, suck in, my darn cheeks are sore. Got mine from LF also, one of the attys hole is slightly smaller and could not get the cart in, have to send back. I dont pop the cap off to fill them, because it is too hard so I just fill several with a syringe (dripping in the hole didnt work for me) and put one of the condom caps from a cartomizer they are ready to go. Need to leave a little airspace at the top so the little plug thingy doesnt push out juice. So if I could get it working steadily, that would be great!!!!!

My ego tank tastes terrible with any flavor I put in it. I don't know if mine is defective, but all I taste is plastic. I thought the atty may be bad, so I bought an additional one and it's still terrible. I've tried all the fixes suggested on the board, but nothing has helped. I wonder if it could be the batteries because I tried using an ego mega cart on my tornado tank battery and it also tasted terrible. Then I tried a 510 BOGE carto and it tasted nasty too!

So I'm back to my KR808 and 510 batteries and the tank is put away in storage until I find a solution that works. I get great taste on my KR808 and 510. I'm vaping some Tasty Vapor Blueberry Cheesecake with Vanilla Custard and it's delicious! :)

I love the concept of the tank and the ease of it's use, but flavor is too important to me. I'd rather not vape if it's going to taste nasty.

I LOVE the concept, but after 9 days of alternating two atty's, I just went back to my ole faithful dripping! The first day or two is fantastic...then things start going downhill (loss of flavor, loss of vapor, tight draw, no draw). My personal opinion is I will probably return the atty's and wait until Joye gets the kinks out of them because I can really see these going somewhere good!

Jeannest,

How well did you blow your attys out before using? I only ask because I was shocked at the amount of oil that came from mine. 1st time before using, I blew out 3 big drops of oil...put the tank on, and it tasted terrible. Blew it out again and got 4 more drops out. Then dripped a couple drops of juice straight on the needle, popped my tank on...PERFECTION:banana:

I got my first two tank attys from TW but I'm still on first atty. But I use my bottom feeders, Reos and Phidias, most of the time. I've run about 10 tanks through it. The first 8 were prefilled from TW and quite tasty, tobacco, which I don't usually do. The last two tanks have been from a different vendor, sweet 70pg/30vg. So far I'm happy with it and I've ordered three more kits for friends from COV. They may be a later version than TW.

I boil any atty that is boilable before using and do a conservative dry burn. For the T-tank I soaked it in pure grain alcohol=PGA after blowing it out very well. It was sopping wet with primer which makes me puke.

I blew out the PGA and gave it a few hours to dry. I haven't had any bad taste and it has adequate vapor considering it isn't a "magic" bottom fed mod with a hefty, high drain 3.7 v battery.

When I leave the house I throw the eGo tank into the same slot, in my purse, that I put my Reo in. The other day I left the house with an almost used up battery in Reo and the T-tank really saved the day. It takes up so little space.

I was in the process of sending DH's 801 kits to a friend who is just quitting analogs. That's 14 batteries and all kinds of goodies. I was so impressed with the T-tank I sent him a kit and extra juices at a good mix of pg/vg for the tank system.

I'm still using the original Tank atomizers from Totally Wicked, I have a few from Cigtechs, but I haven't tried them yet. My first day of usage was a learning experience of dry flavorless vapes and much leaking. Been fine ever since. A lot of the dry vape and leaking was because I didn't have them pushed down all they way.

I ready on one of the forums here to clean the atomizers before use, as they have gobs of primer, and are not as easy to blow out as with all the spike hardware in there. I used his recommendation of an alcohol soak and a warm water soak to rinse. After that there was a huge flavor improvement. They still give a little less flavor than dripping or using a cartomizer, but make up for it in ease of use and refilling. I love my bottom feeders and HV mods, but I work for Homeland Security so looking less like a terrorist with a pipe or box bomb at work is a plus. :)

I have not had an atomizer die yet, but its only been a couple of weeks. I currently have 3 unused spares, and have three in rotation. I clean them every couple of days, or when I want to get a flavor out. One of the three usually goes into the bath every other night or so.

Most of my juice is from TV, in 35% or 30% VG, ALL with sweetener added and many dark colors. I also have a few desert flavors from Mrs. T's Bakery that are all dark, and I believe have at least 20% VG in them.

I read somewhere else here on the forums to rotate them, or pull the pushed in bit of plastic from the spike out. I rotate when I insert them, but not during use. They, like any PV, have a pace to them. I have to put my REO down sometimes because the atomizer needs to cool off. Same with these. You can over-vape the wicking speed. A few short drags pulls some more liquid down.

Those are just my experiences, YMMV, but I hope that helps.

I just got mine from Volcano for my Inferno and so far I really like them. They seem to work well and flavor is decent.I'm getting ready to go back to work,I drive a truck, and I think these just might work well for me on the job.
I find them a lot easier to deal with as compared to the clearomizers.I do like those, but one of my go to juices destroys them, and these tanks are so easy to fill.
