Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the eleaf Pico Squeeze 2 with Coral 2 rda Kit. Please see bottom for disclaimers and links

Introduction:
The Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2 Kit is a new kit from Eleaf that includes the Pico Squeeze 2 Squonk Mod and the Coral 2 Single coil RDA. The Squeeze 2 is a regulated single 2x700 battery squonk mod rated at 100 watts and the Coral 2 is a single coil RDA with included squonk Pin. Eleaf is a company that has been around a long time and a sub brand of joyetech. The original squeeze was popular for it’s low price point for people who wanted to try squonking but was a non adjustable direct output mod, where the new squeeze 1 is more of a pico 21700 mod with squonking. Looking around online i see the mod itself for around 50-60 USD and the kit version around 60-70 USD. It’s available in 5 colors, Black, Silver, Purple, Dazzling (Rainbow) and Red for the mod and the RDA is in Silver only but comes with a resin tip to match the mod color.

Initial Impressions and features
When I first got this Mod, I was pretty impressed with the size of it. It has a little weight to it but smaller than many of the single 2x700 batt squonkers on the market like the aurora and cut mods. Reminded me a bit of the ijoy capo squonk mod in it’s design. It even uses the same bottle system as well as the capo. Really nice size and form factor. The fire button placement to me was odd though and i never really got used to it. It’s similar to the asmodus pumper 18 but due to the extra weight compared to the pumper 18 it just never felt comfy to use. It has a typical eleaf small black and white screen and menu so no surprises there but i would love to see them make nicer screens and menus. Overall though Pretty happy with it from the start outside the fire button placement and screen.

Watt Mode Performance
Sadly i won’t be able to provide numbers on this one and only a sad story. The mod was fine in my normal usage which was mostly in the 40-70 watts range. Had no issues with it at all power wise and felt pretty good. But my testing is made to really push the limits of mods and make sure they do what is promised to us. Well with this one i was only able to get the amp limit. It didn’t like firing 100 watts at all. I ran my first test at .11 ohms and 100 watt setting. I run each test 5 times for consistency. The 1st 3 times it fired great 91 watts and 29 amps. No complaints there. Then in the 4th time the voltage dropped out right away down to 0 within a few seconds and then gave an atomizer short and wouldn’t read any atomizers. I took out the battery and put it back in and no luck still. Opened it up a little and couldn’t see anything bad. Put it back together and still no luck. The chip died in my testing so I couldn’t test it any further and chucked it in the trash. It could just be a one off issue but it comes down to the I can only review what's in my hand which is a shame because I did like it as a power mode mod due to it’s small size despite some complaints i had with it

Temperature Control Performance
Using SS316 wire in SS mode there really isn’t much good to say about this. As typical it kicked me out of TC with all 4 builds i tried (single coil, dual coil, 2 fancy single coil builds) and even when not kicked out it was pretty inconsistent. So i’ll keep it short and sweet here, not good for TC at all and something eleaf really needs to work on with their mods.

Other Usage Notes
The mod uses a standard 5 click to turn the device on and off. The Menu is pretty simple and standard for eleaf, If you used an eleaf device before it should be easy. Use 3 clicks to enter the menu where you can scroll through the modes (wattage, bypass, TC Ni200, TC Ti, TC SS, TCR M1, M2, and M3) and press fire to accept. Hold up and down to lock the adjustment buttons but you can still fire. Turn the device off and hold up and down to flip the screen. To enter the submenu the manual states you hold plus and fire. The submenu allows you to program the LEDs, set a preheat, turn stealth on or off, turn logo on or off, check battery voltage, lock resistance, and program the TCRs. here is where it got weird for me. My mod won’t let me do that. I can’t enter the submenu. So i tried other button combos thinking it may be a misprint and no luck. So i looked at a video to see and sure enough works on the video. Haven’t seen anyone mention it either so no idea why mine won’t work and nobody else had issues. I looked for a firmware update as well to flash it and there is none so I couldn’t do anything in the submenu.

The Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2 adjusts by 1 watt increments at 20 or more and .1 under 20. I love that and wish all mods did that. The mod itself is built solid with no rattle at all, and feels solid with a good weight to it. The Battery door is a standard “pico style” screw off top cap which has nice texture on it and It’s easy to get batteries in and out without damaging wraps and takes 1 2x700 or 18650 battery (with included adapter). The threading on the cap could be better though and is quite squeaky but works well enough. All the batteries i used fit really nicely in the mod including the avatar controls ones which seem to be slightly larger than most 21700 batteries. I also used the vapecell gold 20700, ijoy 5 leg 20700, samsung 30T 21700, aspire 21700 and VTC5a and samsung 25r with the built in adapter. No issues with any of them and no damaged wraps. Now for the adapter, it’s a standard silicon cover to put over an 18650 battery.

The paint on the mod is hard to judge since i got a standard silver one but it looks great. It looks like a brushed finished as well and only wearing on the bottom of the mod. The fire button is a small circle on the back. As i mentioned earlier I don’t like the placement at all and makes it not comfortable for me to use personally. I also don’t like the plus and minus being so close together. Makes it hard to not fat finger it and hit both at the same time. The 510 pin gave me no issues and every atomizer i used on it worked great with no gaps. The mod handles 26mm atomizer flush. Anything bigger will overhang the mod but i can't imagine anyone going bigger than a 26mm RDA on a single battery mod. The included beauty ring makes it look great with a 24mm RDA. The screen is a small black and white screen that is bright enough when indoors but not great outdoors. I would really like to see better screens on their mods. Also for branding on the mod itself is simple. Just the eleaf logo and pico squeeze 2 on the front. It’s not overbearing but would have been nice to put it on the bottom instead or at least just have the eleaf logo on the front only. They list a charging rate of 2 amp charging for the mod but i don’t recommend charging internally in your mods. I don’t do any fancy testing on it but I did charge it a few times in the mod with no issues and it shows you a lightning bolt in the battery bar when charging that flashes.

Squonk System
The Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2 uses a proprietary squonk system similar to the Ijoy capo, Geekvape Gbox and Kanger Drip Box where a metal tube goes into the bottle and a rubber plug plugs the bottle. I wish they used a more standard system but it works well enough. It comes with 2 8ml bottles both are soft silicon that are nice however it only comes with hardware for one so you can’t use the extra to carry around. It’s only for if you break your original bottle you can take the hardware off and put it on the spare. If you lose the original one your pretty much screwed. They should have included all the hardware for the spare and a cap to put on it so it can be used as a spare to carry around. The squonking works as it should. No issues or leaks personally. Taking off the the cover to get to the bottle is pretty easy as is putting it back on. Overall Good enough squonk system but would have preferred a standard one.

Coral 2 RDA
The Coral 2 is a 24mm diameter single coil RDA. It comes with a 26mm Beauty ring as well which makes it looks nice on the squeeze. The deck is a dual post both posts on one side deck similar to the drop solo except the posts are angeled and there isn’t much clearance between the post and the bottom walls of the deck so you really need to pre-cut your leads before installing. The posts use good quality hex grub screws and come with a spare pair as well which is great. The negative post is not milled but the screw for it is pretty good and shouldn’t be an issue and they also include 2 spare screws for that as well. I would prefer the negative be milled but it’s done well enough in the situation to not be a big deal. The unique part of this RDA is it comes with a large metal chamber reducer/airflow director that you can take on or off via a screw on the bottom of the RDA. For a 24mm single coil RDA though it works much better when it is in but it’s good to remove it when building to make it easier. It’s pretty easy to build overall but could be easier if you didn‘t have to precut leads and remove the chamber reducer. It comes with a standard 810 resin tip to match the mod color. The tip fits nicely in not too snug or not too loose and you can use any of your own as well. No 510 adapter however which would have been nice. They also include 2 coils which look nice that are some fused claptons but I didn’t use them, I always use my own coils and a bag of cotton so enough coils and wick for 2 builds plus spare o-rings and a screwdriver tool and a standard 510 pin along with the squonk 510 pin.

Performance Wise, I ran 3 builds in this RDA 2 fancy single coil builds and 1 simple round single coil build. Without the reducer it’s not good so i recommend keeping that in. The simple round build with the reducer still wasn’t that good but with a large fancy coil and the reducer the flavor is pretty good for a single coil RDA. Not great but good. Overall I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy one personally and had i been able to recommend the mod i’d say it was worth the extra 5 bucks or even no additional cost depending where you buy from to get the included RDA but since i can’t recommend the mod i’d say don’t bother with the RDA either.

Pros:
  • Build Quality
  • 5 color options
  • batteries are easy to get in and out without damaging wraps
  • large juice bottles (8ml)
  • Battery compatibility (21700, 20700, 18650)
  • RDA is good with the right build for an included RDA
  • nice small size for a single 2x700 squonker
  • beauty ring for RDA is nice
  • Standard 810 resin tip on RDA
  • mod handles 26mm atomizer without overhang
Cons:
  • Temp Control Performance
  • fire button location feels awkward
  • outdated menu system
  • Mine wouldn’t go to the sub menu
  • screen is small and basic
  • Non Standard Squonk System
  • Spare squonk bottle didn’t come with hardware
  • RDA should have had matching color to mod
  • plus and minus buttons are too close together
  • my mod died during testing
Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this kit or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no but this one will have to be a no. It’s a shame but i can only review what's in my hand. If a chip dies during testing i have to give it a no. I did really like it before that as a power mode small 2x700 squonker. The RDA is worth an extra 5 bucks or so in the kit but not worth the solo asking price so i’ll give that a no as well.

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and i’ll catch you on my next review.

Getting into the menu can be tricky.
I had to press at the very top of the + button, and tried a few times, till it worked.
I've read others had the issue also.
yeha i tried it as well no luck. probably spent like 30 mins trying to get into the menu but it's dead now so can't try anymore lol
