i ordered some juice form "somewhere" who is actually pretty good and seems really reputable. The juice was custom mixed for me. i got it today shook it a bit and dripped into a fresh carto. then bam, it tasted like perfume mixed with grain alcohol. and were not talking crazy exotic flavors , cream soda, and some mtn dew cherry mixes.
the cream soda tastes really flat and has no vanilla flavor at all the mtn dew is very acrid and medicine tasting.
im using a rn4081, fresh batteries , fresh cartos.

Most of what you are describing will fade out with steeping...There is one vendor I bought juice that seemed to stay perfume(y) even after months of steeping, not all of their flavors were like that, but there were quite a few.

Try leaving the cap off a couple days, then put it back on and let it sit for 1-2 weeks.

what causes this flavor issue? are they actually adding alcohol to their products ? i cant for one minute think any kind of alcohol(god i hope not isopropyl or eythl)being inhaled would be good in any way.

Some flavor extracts and raw flavors used to make juice are extracted with and contain alcohol, probably an ethyl or pure grain. Some might add it to dilute VG. It will add some throat hit, and some otherwise nasty flavors. If it's nasty enough to bother you then I wouldn't keep trying it. It might speed up the steep to put the container, open, in some kind of hot water to sit in for a while, shaking it now and then. This should help evaporate the alcohol some. I hide mine on the shelf behind the coffee container open for about a week or so.

I read somewhere that some of the flavorings have an alcohol base....I am certain it would be a consumable grade. Try letting it breathe for a night or so and that should allow it to evaporate. I always leave the caps off for a night or so and then let it sit for a week in a place away from sunlight.

I don't know but the container would have to be made of at least titanium, and Connie's ritual of the squirting sigil performed on it to protect it from leeching.
