Am I at risk of damaging my tank or coils?

My set-up
Aspire nautilus (full size) w 1.8ohm BVC coil
innokin MVP 20W Box mod

I've been trying to quit smoking for several years but I've never been able to get past the first few hours of vaping without grabbing for my cigarettes.

Last week I decided to try and quit smoking again and through some experimenting, I have found that if I blow gently into my Nautilus, blowing vapor out through the air holes first, before taking a hit, it greatly improves the flavor of my e-liquids. I mean by a LOT!!
I thought it was just my imagination the first time that I did this, so I did it a few more times and realized that there is a significant improvement to the overall taste. The actual vapor production is probably about the same, perhaps a little more than before, but the taste is AMAZINGLY BETTER.
I have my MVP 20W set on 11 watts using a 1.8 ohm coil

The 'sweetness' of my e-liquids really comes through so much more by doing this and I am very much enjoying the 'taste' now, so much so, that I've actually, for the first time in 30 years, been able to go without smoking a cigarette in 7 days.

I have honestly say that up until now, I've never really enjoyed 'vaping' but this past week by simply blowing into my Nautilus first, I have found the taste and my overall vaping experience is much more pleasurable. I have no desire to smoke a regular cigarette...and I WAS a 2 pack a day smoker.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't continue this vaping method...?
Am I at risk of damaging my tank and/or coils by 'blowing' into my Nautilus first before taking the initial hits?
So far I haven't had any performance problems or leakage issues...but I just want to make sure that 'blowing' into my Nautilus first isn't going to somehow ruin my equipment over the long run..or may be dangerous in any way.

I have also noticed that the taste is stronger when I am able to smell the vapor at the same time. While I am not aware of any problems that would arise from blowing into your device, I am able to get similar results by taking a quick puff and letting it out of my mouth before I take my normal draw.

The only thing you might be concerned about is eventual buildup of condensation in the base of the Nautilus. If enough builds up it could leak out the air holes or interfere with the coil firing properly because the connections are wet.

It shouldn't cause any problems with your mod or coil, but for at least a week or two I would get into the habit of removing the coil and using a Q-tip or rolled up paper towel to dry out the inside of the base every time you refill the tank. That should give you a good idea of how much condensation is building up in it and how often you need to dry it out.

The only downfall I might see from that is slightly shortening the life of your coils but I'm not sure I can justify that completely. Otherwise, keep doing what works for you. There won't be any damage to anything.
Any time you heat up the coils it will weaken the wire. Personally i like to keep my coils as long as possible especially now that im buying fancy coils.

Congrats on not smoking for a week! That's a victory no matter what!
As for blowing into the coil, I do that all the time too. I've never had any problems with it. The only thing is I notice slightly more moisture buildup in the base under where the coil screws in. But since the full sized nautilus' tend to leak there sometimes I'm in the habit of swabbing the base out every time I refill the tank anyways.
Also... it looks ....ing cool to do that lol.

This is actually a very common practice for "mouth to lung" vapors. Many take a small puff into their mouth, gently exhale, then take a normal draw while continuously pressing the fire button. It seems like it cause the vapor on the normal draw to be denser and thus more flavorful. The key is to only gently exhale before taking your normal draw.
Congratulations on your first milestone, I wish you many many more.

Forgot to mention, if no has mentioned it to you, exhaling through your nose can help with flavor as well. Approximately 70% of taste is actually smell.

Which is why we tell children to hold their noses when they drink medicine. You block the smell and thus, reduce the nasty medicine taste.

I completely understand what you are all saying when it comes to exhaling first, whether it be through your nose or mouth, prior to inhaling from the mouthpiece on my Nautilus, but honestly, when I do this, I still don't experience the distinct 'taste' or flavor that I get when I gently 'blow' into my Nautilus first and then immediately inhale.

Perhaps it's all in my head..lol

It's hard to explain, but when I blow into the mouthpiece FIRST allowing for just a small amount of the vapor to escape from the air holes, and then immediately inhale or 'suck' on the mouthpiece, the rush of 'flavor' that I taste in the back of my throat, especially toward the end of the 'exhale' is so incredibly sweet and enjoyable...it's nothing like I've experienced before.

I've tried 'exhaling' first (basically blowing the air out of my lungs) both from my mouth and/or from my nose as some of you have previously suggested, and then taking a 'drag' or inhaling, like normal, on my nautilus mouth piece. I've also tried tweaking the wattage to a higher setting...but absolutely nothing compares to this new method (if you want to call it that) that I've been experimenting with this past week.

Quite honestly, I'm wishing I had discovered and/or used this 'blowing' & sucking technique a few years ago as I have no doubts I would of quit smoking a lot sooner than now.

The e-liquids that I'm using now are the exact same flavors/strengths/ratio's as that ones I have used in previous years, but for whatever reason, this "blowing directly into my Nautilus first and then sucking" 'technique' that I've been doing now for 8 days has just made a world of difference.

The funny thing is...because of this incredible taste I'm now experiencing from this combined blowing & sucking vaping method, I've been able to drop down from 18mgs of nicotine to 12mgs & 8mgs of nicotine without experiencing any 'withdrawal' issues just in the last two days.
I'm very excited about this as I would eventually like to be both 'smoke' AND 'nicotine' free...
