You might want to start looking at the 5 volt or V.V. mods right off the bat. Most people end up " buying up" to a mod. By doing that you end up spending alot of money on smaller P.V.s and egos that do not satisfy most heavy smokers. If there is any way to try some P.V.s or mods do so. One way would be to order PVs or mods that you can easily return. This can get expensive if your not careful. Working your way up to that one mod that does it for you can be costly because there are so many different devices out there and they all perform differently. First of all do your reading! I can not stress this enough. There are lots of different things to learn about and lots of different opinions to sort through. Believe me; Take your time and read, read, and read. In the end you will save a lot of money and avoid a lot of frustration. So spend many hours on this forum and ask as many questions as you can think of. People on this forum enjoy answering questions and giving opinions. Good luck and take your time.

New vapers usually like slim ecigs or something 3.7v.

However - In that guide, ignore the super-minis - they don't keep anyone happy more than a few weeks.

Consider manual Joye 510, manula Joye 510 mega xl (and I recommend those with Boge 510 standard resistance blank cartomizers for your favorite juices)

Also consider KR808D-1 manuals - see Vapor4Life and SmokelessImage

If you are a hard heavy smoker or need batteries that last more than a few hours (like if you cannot charge batteries at work) then consider skipping the slim ecigs entirely and look at Ego, Riva 510, and mods.

BWG707 is correct, but I would also consider something more portable and "pocket size" for when you are at work or out in the town at night. For that I would recommend looking into either a 510 or a KR808D-1. Those two are the most recommended and purchased PV's. Lots of brands make those models so do not be confused if it does not say 510 or KR808, do some research and you will figure it out.

As for the more expensive PV's, I believe those are great for at home or for extended travel, mods usually have bigger batteries and can last for a while before charging but in exchange are bigger and not as easy to carry around when you are out of the house. I for one am going for a portable unit that I can carry comfortably in my pocket and then when I get used to it and want something better/bigger, i'm going to try out the GLV2 which has caught my attention.

Always read the sticky's but dormouse's advise is sound. I haven't tested all the things mentioned, but I can vouch for staying away from the minis. I agree that the slim form factor ecigs are good if you want something cig sized, but you may end up carrying around several batteries just to last you through the day. You can find those kits cheap enough, so I wouldn't spend over $30 on one if you're just looking to try something out. This way it won't be a huge loss if you discover you want more battery life between charges and don't want to have to carry around more than 1 battery and want to upgrade. Definately research, pick out a few e-cig types you're interested in and put those into the lil search box at the top right of the forum. See what people are saying about those e-cigs, their thoughts on them, where they're getting them, cost, all that good stuff. Also, once you've narrowed it down to a few, search youtube for the names of them. You'll be surprised how many people have done video reviews on those e-cigs that you won't find on here. My $.02.

Definately do your research as there are many sites available to buy from that have great deals running, and keep in mind to get what you need you may have to go to other sites. Some people prefer some sites for their batteries and other sites for their juice, and yet even other sites for their cartos/attys etc. While people suggesting their favorite place to buy from and telling you exactly what you should buy there can give you an idea, I would still look around and figure out what's best for you.

So Cal
I am under 3 weeks in and have switched kits already after reading this forum. I went with the Halo G6 (KR808D-1) It was an amazing switch from the Green Smoke I had. I have been trying to find the perfect prefilled carto since I did not want to juice on my own. There wasn't one that was 100% perfect for me. I am now filling cartos on my own with the perfect blend of juices and could not be happier, I finally found it! Long story short, do your homework here and it will save you alot of time and money. If you have a store nearby, I highly suggest you go try the different systems and flavors before making your decision, you won't regret it.
