I swapped the tank and coil from the old luxe onto the new aegis legend it changed the coil reading on the screen from like .30 to .16 and it hit wonderfully. So I switch it back to the valyrian and it asked if I wanted the coil reading at .30 or .16 I kept it at .16 and its hitting great but when I go into the menu to try to change but its locked not sure if it will damaged the coil or not running at .16 instead of .30

Regardless of what resistance you tell it the coil is, even if you lock it in, the Legend takes continuous live readings of the resistance while firing and adjusts the voltage on the fly to deliver the correct target wattage. Even when not in TC mode. You can see it on the display.

So would switch to the dual coil 0.14ohm reading make the hit any better since at 0.16 it was wonderful?

No way.GOMuniEsq explained to you the reason.Your device is regulated and resistance isn't as important as important is to mech's.You select the wattage you like and the board provides that wattage using Ohm's Law and making calculations on what amperage and voltage must "hit" the coil in order to achieve the selected wattage.

Sorry I may have worded it wrong. What I ment was taking the single coil out and replacing it with the dual coil since it as a lower resistance

Here’s my 2 cents...

These devices are variable for a reason. Just because a mod can do x amount of watts, or a coil says it’s good up to x amount of watts, does not mean you can or should.

The car analogy... my speedometer tops out at 140. The speed limit may say 65. I am not ever driving 140, and if the weather is bad I’m likely going slower than 65.

Start low, no matter what coil you use, and increase wattage slowly until it vapes as you like it, and if you go a bit higher you can back down. Not only better for you, but easier on your coils as well.

Can confirm. I once scoffed at all the pantywaists who ran their 200W mods far below the rated spec. Finally managed to buy a coil that I could drive up to 120W and my reward was nearly welding my lip to the tank. Turns out dissipating all that heat is harder than generating it.

I’m not saying no one should ever do it. Just because it ain’t my thing doesn’t mean nobody will have a good experience. But when pushing the limits doesn’t work, it’s time for a reason-think.

I have high wattage mods, but I don’t think I’ve ever vaped over 60 W. Nice to have the extra battery sometimes. Just like the car, one that can go 140 does 65 really well, plenty of power to pass, too.

Welcome to the friendly bunch :)

Sound like you didn't prime your coil. You may have damaged it beyond repair i'm afraid. Try a new coil and before you put it in the device squeeze some e-liquid on the cotton in the coil through the top and the holes around the barrel. Then put it back in, fill the tank and then leave it for at least 10 minutes. Then start at around 20/25 watts and take a couple of short puffs. Do the same at 30, 40, 45 watts and when you start to feel like you are getting a good vape stop increasing the wattage and enjoy.......

I hope this helps and good luck :)

I have it at 60 watts TC-tcr is at 200 degrees Celsius the watts on the temp is 60 and tcr is 400 no burning seems to be better. Kinda fast hit on the intake like when inhaling. Any ideas how to slow it down
If you're using a Ti or NiFe wire, should be ok, but a TCR of 400 confuses me, as it's not optimum for either of those metals, but in their range.

You could lower the wattage, that should slow ramp up, unless there is a setting for that as well.

You must set the correct TCR value in order to make TC work efficiently. If TCR value you set is higher than actual, dry hit city.. If lower, you'll get a "Temperature Protection" display soon after you hit the fire button.
Valyrian2 tank takes 0.32Ω UN2 Single Meshed Coil and 0.14Ω UN2-2 Dual Meshed Coil.
These are made from Kanthal, they don't work at TC Mode.
