I'm looking for some sort of material that can be used for vaping...

I need something that wont affect your health in a bad way of course.

It has to be absorbant like a paper towel but I'm pretty sure paper towels are bleached and can contain other chemicals that could make you sick + long term side effects.

I really could use some help, thanks!

Polyfill is nasty when it singes. If you are using cartridges on an atomizer (not the way most choose to vape) then the most popular restuffing material is blue foam which is an aquarium filter product. It's much harder to singe. Strictlyejuice.com sells precut foam for 510 cartridges. Or for tiny ecigs you can cut those down. For larger cartridges buy the bulk as Marineland Rite-Size U Bonded Foam Sleeve for H.O.T. magnum Filter Cartridges (in the aquarium dept of Petsmart). Some use the cloth of Lipton pyramid shap tea bags (another synthetic material).

Most don't use atomizer + cartridge. Most use cartomizers and those either have stuffing that cannot be replaced or are reservoir types with wicks that may be made of fiberglass or silica rope. And you don't sound like a smoker. We know what we are vaping has to be safer than cigarettes which are our alternative. Cigarettes include formaldehyde, cyanide and carpet glue as well as 4000 other things.

No and and it would never be worth restuffing cartomizers because the only way you are going to get the baked on juice off the coil is to chisel it off by hand. I use totally clean juices with no residue - when my cartos are done for after about 7-10 days use, my stuffing is often still clean and unsinged. It's the coil and its ability to vaporize liquid efficiently that is ruined.

And I have been using cartomizers for a year - I have never ever gotten a fiber in my mouth. The carto stuffing stays in the carto.

Well sure its possible but you wear clothing all the time and inhale microscopic particles or cloth as well as dust and mites and other good stuff. And then outside you are breathing particles of dirt and carbon and who knows what else. At least the carto stuffing is wet and mainly holding on to its particles. I would be more concerned about inhaling the colorings and flavoring sediment in many juices. I only use clear light juices as my main juices.

Dormouse I know its probably tedious but maybe someday when you have time you can post a list of the specific juices by name that have been the clearest and/or least problematic for carto clogging. I see you have this down to a science and I need help on where to buy juices I can stand (non perfumey) to treat myself with once in awhile. I've been diying but some flavors are really hit or miss for a fussy .... like me...lol

Wow lots of replies...

I just got blueberries pie from tastyvapor.us and I could puke

No offence to the owner but the vapor from it made me gag..

Amazing service just bad flavor for me

Also the paper towels are amazing to use for refillling cartomizers. I wouldn't use the ones with ink though. The kind I used was super absorbent and had 2 layers. I rolled it around a chop stick sorta thing and inserted it in. I added the juice before placing it in and works just as good cuz it molds decently. The vapor from it is as good maybe better compared to a blank cartomizers filled up with it.

I'm still worried about vaporizing from a paper towel though...I assume its not bad unless it burns?

Cartomizers that normally use polyfill :D

Edit: I really hope someone knows if paper towels contain any toxic chemicals when vaped through haha, id feel so much better(no ink on mine)

Sorry, they both use polyfill. It was you saying about moulding it to fit, that would be difficult in a long cartomizer surely? but I can see it in a cartridge with atomizer.

No it would be easy to mould a paper towel to fit any size cartomizer

Wrap it around a skinny cylinder object juice it and what I do is place the chop stick tip onto the white tubing and slide it down

Also I have the 2 piece g6 which uses cartomizers. I haven't used a cartridge yet

Gotcha now, cheers. Sounds a bit messy though.

I can't find the thread, but awhile ago someone posted in the mods section about cutting a straw about the size of the cartridge. You get the end of the cartridge condom and cut it to fit the opening of the cartridge. Cut a little x with an exacto knife in the center to allow juice to drip on the atomizer.

Fill with juice, place the condom top over the end of the cartridge, place on atty.

It takes practice but it does work.
