Hi and welcome,

Not a custard fan so I'll share:

I put 100ml of unflavoured .05% base in a translucent HDPE bottle.
Then I shake the bottle from the kitchen to the laptop ( about 30 seconds).
I then go to the Grants Vanilla Custard web page and slowly wave the bottle around in front of the screen for 10-15 seconds.
That's it! Perfect custard for me...EVERY TIME!

Your mileage may vary.

Best of luck
cheers
I

Is it THAT much of a controversial topic haha...

Oh yes, oh yes it is. There are Custard Snobs who will gouge your eyes out if you say the wrong thing in here. See? I've put their title in cap letters because they've earned it.

Beware shipmate, beware.

Been looking for the "Best" custard flavor for me for a while now. The only custard I've ever had that made me say "HOLY S#IT" was Alloy Blends Electrum Blonde. I have yet to find a recipe for it, and nothing I have made has come close. Find that, and you'll have put me in DIY heaven. Hell, I'd go buy a bottle of it today if it wasn't $20 for 30ml.

The description:
"Creamy, clean, rich, and smooth, Blonde from Alloy Blends’ Electrum line is the perfect, deliciously accurate, vanilla custard blend. Mildly sweet, and just a bit eggy like a proper custard, with notes of a myriad of different vanillas."

That one is really good, too. But that bourbon & oak barrel steeping...[emoji8] . Gentlemans Reserve is another oak barrel & boubon I'm after.

The problem is preferences in custard is very subjective to begin with. In general Americans prefer a much sweeter, pudding type flavor while Europeans prefer a more bakery type flavor from their custards.

In fact you could have a small war over defining what a custard actually is. Depending on where you are in the world a custard could be any of these:

Personally I prefer the more Italian styled fried custards. Rich vanilla with a hint of lemon along with a flaky pastry rolled in coarse sugar.

And I like my ecig custards to taste like that, but many would rather have the more creamy pudding flavor.

10% cap vc v1
3% cap French vanilla
2% cap sweet cream
2% cap marshmallow
2% Fa caramel

I top that off with an 8mg 100% vg base. I have been vaping this for months. Requires a 3 week steep. The recipe is infinitely changeable.
+1 on the Cap VC V1. Start with that and take it any direction you want go.
