I mixed up a tester today of RF Extract's Vanilla Custard at 1.5%. I haven't tasted it yet (forgot to even do a finger test) but the smell from the bottle and after mixed is amazing so I have high hopes for it. I mixed up 5 of their other flavors today (and already had 12 aging) and among them was their Cheesecake which I am planning to mix in with the VC after testing is done.

@Fozzy71, how long do you steep RF? I'm always game for a new custard flavor, but I don't want to have to steep for several months before there's any flavor ...
Most of the super concentrated raw extracts I have tested so far (I do 20 ml testers in 30 ml bottles) are very tasty after 2 or 3 weeks but the 100 - 200 ml batches I try and let steep at least 4 weeks. I am vaping on some 6 week old French Toast today that I mixed up 220ml of @ 3.5% (also mixed some Pumpkin Pie and Baklava at the same time) and it is very tasty. I have so many big recipes made up right now (I mixed up around 2 liters one weekend about 6 weeks ago to be able to start letting everything properly steep 4+ weeks going forward) that I plan to save some of all 3 of these to let age as long as possible to see how well the flavor stays a few months after mixing as some have reported the flavors can fade.

The VG flavors take longer from what I have heard and experienced. Some say to let steep at least 2 months. I have bought 5 of the VG flavors but going forward I will only be buying RF Extracts (no more CAP/TPA/FW for me other than things like RY4 Double for me and Western tobacco + Menthol for my room mate) other than the occasional VG flavor they don't make in the extract line like Bread Pudding and Aged Bourbon Cream (though I bought extracts of Bourbon and Cream to try and recreate this one in extract form).

I'm enjoying this after 2 weeks:

FA Coconut .5%
INW Custard 1.5%
TPA Marshmallow 1.5%
FLV Custard 4%
CAP VC V1 3%
Shisha Vanilla 2%

It's a spin of a recipe I found on another website (which I think is banned? so I won't mention it by name). I'm sure it'll develop further, but, it's pretty thick and creamy and tasty right now. Super vanilla-y. Maybe I'll end up like Cap VC1 after all, but probably in low doses.
Mixed this up last night. Pretty tasty s&v. Glad I found a use for the INW custard.

The INW Custard is my spin, the recipe called for another flavor I didn't have so I subbed INW Custard. Been vaping it today and I really like this. These custards play well together, leaves such a nice after-taste/smell. Im beginning to turn into a custard freak.

ETA the recipe also called for FA Marshmallow which I didn't have. I have it now so I'll use that next time.

Ok you all were right about CAP VC1. I'm vaping on a caramel custard I mixed up with the only custard being CAP at 6%. It's like 3 days shy of a month old. It's pretty good. I personally like the other custards better and think the CAP plays best as a supporting note to the others. But it does change drastically for the better :thumb:

This thread seems dead, o_O

I've been messing with other profiles for a while. Working on flavors for my friend's juice line so I don't want to post any. I did however order some Nickoticket Custard's Last Stand and my unicorn Alloy Blends Electrum Blonde so I can work on those for my own tastes. Will post progress when they come in and I start messing around.

If you come up with anything resembling CLS, I would love to know what it is! Thats a great juice.

Here are numerous recipes out there for it but I never felt they hit the nail for what I remember it being. Now over a year into mixing I feel I have a better grasp picking up flavors. Like the other day I tried some Circus Cookie in a shop and immediately knew it was Sucralose at like 3% and sweet strawberry at maybe 1-2% because I could barely taste it. It tasted like sweetened VG to me. Terrible.

I think one of the keys to CLS is the vanilla. They use an in-house vanilla. The earthy tone is very distinct. I have some vanilla absolute from winged seed I have not tried yet. One of these days

Edit - IMHO cap v1 is in there

NT is going to release their vanilla as a flavor concentrate sometime, according to Clark...oh god, I cannot wait for that.

That was part of the reason I made a purchase from them, to "help" liquidate the inventory in preparation for the recipe release.

I did the same. Got some Radio and ACB. ACB is amazing, I had forgotten how good it is.

In the spirit of sharing recipes though, here's something I threw together at the beginning of November. I was trying to make a caramel tea candy I read about somewhere on google. Just found it today and holy cow it's good.

FA Jasmine 1.5%
TFA Green tea 4%
CAP Butter 1%
TFA Brown sugar 1.2%
CAP Caramel 2.2%
FA Vanilla bourbon 1.5%
JF Juicy lemon 1%
FW Sweet cream 3%

It was in my notepad without brands so I'm hoping I remembered them all right just now.

I'm working on a smoky custard - this is absolutely a WIP

Cap v1 Custard - 5.5%
TFA Bavarian Cream - 2%
Shisha Vanilla - 1%
Toasted Almond .5%

Betting this needs no less than a few weeks steep. I purposely left out sweetener - I want to see how the body shapes up before possibly diluting it with sweetener. If I like this base, I'll make more and add different types of sweetener to see how it effects the results.

Makes two of us! I bought a bunch of CLS and Frenilla, just for the vanilla. So good.

The problem with custard is it takes so darn long to know how it tastes. I won't vape the stuff before a month of steeping.

I headed down the VC and French Vanilla Deluxe path, last week. I'm experimenting with various ratios of the two, plus FA Tahitian Vanilla and FA Bourbon Vanilla. I may pull 5 mls from each batch and add a drop or two of caramel or brown sugar extra. I taste caramelized brown sugar in CLS...

My latest Vanilla Custard recipe I tried (that I came up with from scratch since there are so few on the recipe sites for RF SC flavors) is still steeping but getting better and better as it ages:

Vanilla Cheesecake Custard v1 (RFSC)
1.50% Vanilla Custard (Real Flavors)
1.00% Cheesecake (Real Flavors)
1.00% Graham Cracker (Real Flavors)

- initial smell = 2 much cheesecake, try lowering cheesecake (and maybe graham cracker as well) and increasing vanilla custard by 0.25 or 0.5
- Day 1, think I may want to reduce cheesecake 0.25 and increase graham cracker by same percent
- After 2 weeks it is coming together nicely. The cheesecake is still pretty forward but it is a nice vape. Think I may still want to lower it a little and increase the custard, and maybe add in a little brown sugar.

Based on my notes so far this is what I am thinking for the next version of it to test, assuming I don't add in Brown Sugar or anything else.

Vanilla Cheesecake Custard v1.01 (RFSC)
2.00% Vanilla Custard (Real Flavors)
0.75% Cheesecake (Real Flavors)
0.75% Graham Cracker (Real Flavors)

I have CAP v2 NY Cheesecake but have never tried it as a single flavor and have only made 1 recipe with the RF SC so far so it's really hard to compare. I like the RF SC a lot but I am not the pickiest person with regards to flavors.
