I recently acquired a taste for the forbidden liqueur, ABSINTHE.
I was going to dilute it down in the traditional fashion with
Ice water (distilled), adding VG until I obtain an e-juice consistency.

:evil: Will the vapor turn Green?:evil:

Nice vid, must be old though. The US actually relaxed the thujon ban somewhat and as long as it's not one of the French or German bitters, you can get it at some liquor stores here now. Kubler is a decent one. Anyway, I don't want to upset one of the royals who stumbles across this by talking too much about something that's not e-cig related. Good luck with the juice, and do let me know if it's any good.

Here is the info off the bottle:
------
lucid-absinthe.jpg

Introducing lucid, Absinthe Supérieure. lucid represents a breakthrough product for the U.S. market, as it is the first true, Grande Wormwood-based Absinthe of its type since before prohibition. Unlike imitators in the U.S. and many of the so-called "Absinthe" products that litter the international markets, lucid is crafted directly from select whole herbs, including Grande Wormwood, and never from cheaper assemblages, macerations, extracts or oils.
------

Allright, I have some food grade 100% Vegitable Glycerine, and my Bottle of Absithe prepped on my kitchen table. Tonight I commence the first documented ritual of Absinthe eJuice preparation.
8-oPRAY FOR ME8-o

I specifically wanted grand wormwood in this batch so I will be using the LUCID brand. My understanding of thujon content would occur only in modern Absinthe if it was poorly made. It's quite safe and a very tasty/sweet liqure for those that like Annise/liqurish.

EDIT:
I also think it's quite fitting that an increasingly forbidden pass time such as smoking will be combined with a forbidden drink. I'm not expecting great tasting eSmoke, but a smokey savor that compliments my Absinthe.

1st batch, was approximately a 50/50 mix of Absinthe and Veritable Glycerin (VG). I went and omitted the water and sugarcube believing that the VG had enough sweetness as did the liqueur I was using.

The vapor was unbelievably smooth and equally thick! I'm unfamiliar with the taste of Wormwood but this vapor is defiantly not a liquorish flavor. I was expecting a much harsher experience than what I got. Subtle tones of Anise, Fennil, and an unmistakable Greeness danced around my taste buds and nose. The taste was very clean, very mild, although throat hit was almost existent (0 Nicotine).
I believe a reduction of some sort is necessary for those seeking a stronger taste, but to those wanting to add a little something to an existing eJuice (one thats to strong , or to harsh), a 50/50 mix of Absithe/VG might just be the ticket.

0.10 Throat Hit
0.75 Flavorful
1.00 Tastes Like the Name

Somoney, you are a genius.

I had a bottle of absinth at home for some 7-9 years, brought as a curiosity from a visit to Lithuania, where the drink was legal at that time. My wife must not drink and I do not. Visitors never wished to try. Now, due to you, I found the perfect use for the stuff. I dilute my juice a lot, which destroys flavour a lot. But your absinth idea gives the flavour right back, and what a fantastic flavour it is! Yummy yummy yummy I will probably ovedose now because I have no glycerin left and mix it with nicotine juice...

555 + absinth = genial spice-flavoured cig aroma
Chocolate + absinth = absolutely beatiful liqueur taste

and I have some 0.7 litre of the stuff D:D:D:
(I only regret I did not order the 36 mg stuff, so that more absinth/VG mix could be added for the same 8mg nic content...)

If you want the good stuff you should try Alandia.de ...the Suisse la Bleue Clandestine is really good, and I've ordered others that are also top notch. I found another site which offered the same goods but under a different lable for half the price....unfortunately I can' remember for the life of me what that site is. Shop around. Alandia has great stuff, but there are only a handful of breweries and a myriad different lables with a huge range in price. If you're gonna buy strictly US, Kubler is the best I've found.

I've tried the Kubler and I must say it's rather nice. It actually was very akin to the Absente from France I'd tried (not the US version). Alandia.de huh? If you remember the retailer selling for half the price, please post it! I'd love to not spend an arm and a leg on Absinthe.

Edit: Oh any word on the louche you get from the Alandia.de label?

Not logged in for a while , been lurking mostly but the mention of absinthe compelled me to post. For our american friends just google Liqueurs de France. With the pound being weak at the moment you can pick yourselves up a bargain :thumb:
It`s gonna be a green xmas for me , got a bottle of Mansinthe on the way (not the best I know but I`ll give it a try) but if you want to spoil yourselves get a bottle of Jade Edouard 72 by Ted Breaux, not cheap but THE best absinthe I`ve tried. Great Louche and better flavour. I loved this stuff so much I got a massive tattoo of the Green Fairy and Toulouse Latrec on my thigh. The wife was not impressed
