I'm glad this couple or so week old review got bumped to the top. Otherwise I would have missed it.

PBusardo said he doesn't have a volt meter to check the load voltage on these. Well, I have one and have tested the gold ring smoke tech ego and it is the #1 highest performing 3.7v battery I own for 1.5 ohm dual coils in how many amps it can push. It beats my AW IMR 18650s. it beats my MK's. It beats ultrafire, trustfire, and AW li-On. It beats about 5 different styles and types of 18350... the list goes on. For a 3.7v battery, this is capable of producing a higher load voltage than any other 3.7v battery in my substantial collection of such batteries.

My voltmeter can't handle the regulator in the joye eGo batteries nor some other mofset batts like the black smoke tech that says smok in big white letters across the top. Regardless of that, it tells me that the gold ring battery is able to maintain 3.9v loaded with a fired up 1.5 ohm dual coil when the battery is fresh off the charger.

That's just plain Impressive - with a capitol ' I ' Impressive.

The gold ring eGo clone from smok tech is the battery I carry as a spare to work. I have no doubt my rough stack will get me through the day no matter what I'm doing, but I am prone to setting my PV down somewhere and misplacing it because the environment I work in contains miles and miles and stacks and stacks of copper, steel, aluminum, brass, PVC pipe, and Pex tubing. When I misplace my Rough Stack out in the shop, it is the same thing as the proverbial needle in a hay stack... So, I carry a spare. And from all the PVs and batteries I own, the gold ring eGo clone from smoke tech is always there to fall back on until I locate my RS.

The adds I have read says they are regulated at 3.7 volts, so what gives?? Why do you think they are not?? Thanks

In a recent vid Phil put his new inline meter on them. It was roughly a week ago. Right off the charger the batt (14650 version) was a tad over 4v. Under load it was at 3.46v.

Thanks for the info. Now I am wondering why the vendors are saying they are 3.7 volt regulated, and why?? Is the switch regulated at all, or is it 3.7 volts with a standard 3.0/3.2 ohm cartomizer?? (the vid from Phil was a 1.5 ohm carto)
