I think HR was saying that the 110/75 is what his doc said were normal numbers....

This was the most recent I could find, December 2012. Last month. There have been no updates in the literature saying there are "new numbers" that are higher. I would change doctors if one said that to me.

I am very happy to hear it is going down!

Yea! Great news HR! And if you get some 0 nic, you can always add a little of your regular to beef it up when you need to on occasion. Way to go!

You can buy VG at the drug store really cheap,i can cut my 24mg down to 6 mg and have 4 times as much juice, alto flavour will be diminshed,so ill pick up RY4 flavouring,i love the RY4,the only one ill use now.

Personally, my blood pressure went down significantly after vaping. I smoked for 35 years before vaping. I lost some weight and my cholesterol went down as well.

As did mine. It is amazing! I don't vape over 18, and generally DIY about 16. And yes, I tested it. I don't do caffeine or salt so don't have those cofacters either.

But enough about you or I and our personal victory... to see someone who posts on a forum that they are scared about their BP, and then post they did nothing after being told it was a crises, then post they are still in danger, really makes me wonder how the people who are working in MY field can be so unconcerned as to advise the OP that it was not a serious issue. Which leads me to believe that perhaps the OP needs to understand the numbers in BP and be a bit more aggressive so when he is told it is okay to wait a day or so he will demand that an emergency, hypertensive crises NOT be overlooked. The alternative is that eventually these silent episodes will result in a stroke, cardiomyopathy, kidney failure or just a quick and painless aneurysm rupture that developed after having a diastolic of 100 over a few days.

It is not ok. How many times will this happen and the OP will think, "no biggy they told me to just see the doc in the morning." To be scared was the appropriate response - to be told no big deal was nothing I have ever heard of in my entire career.

Ain't that the truth. Darn, you should move to Hawaii because I need someone like you to beat it into me as to those extra pounds, cholesterol and bp! (Btw I AM being sincere, not snide).

I was just talking to a friend about this same issue. I have bee dealing with high BP for several months. I had to go to ER because two nights in a row it was approx. 204/126. I am still constantly monitoring it. Have been to cardiologist and had tons of tests done and still working on finding the right med dose to regulate it. I personally don't think it has to do with vaping although I'm currently at 10 mg nic and working on lowering it. Strange thing is sometimes it is not as bad as others and I can't figure out why. I don't have stress at home at all. But night time is when it seems to soar when it wants to soar. Anyhow still working on adjusting my meds and the truth is it could be genetic and no matter what you do, you will just have to monitor it and find the right meds for it. Plus of course lowering nic helps a but I tend to not think its that unless you Vape real high nic.

Yea, just checked and its 152/90. It was higher earlier tonight and I took another 10 mg earlier of my BP meds. I feel like I'm an addict cutting my BP meds in half or quarters still trying to figure out how to get it regular. And maybe once a week it's fine for no reason. I write it down also and there's no rhyme or reason to it other than heart disease runs in my family. No cancer thank God, but it's still a problem. I went to a new doc last Monday for help. Will probably have to call her and tell her I'm still having to add more to my med intake to get it right at night. But then the thing is the meds work slow so you can end up with too low a BP hours later. It's a huge problem. A couple days ago it went down to 105/68. Sigh.....

if you are using a machine to measure your BP ? check it again a second time directly after the first and go by that setting ,

many medics have told me the first reading on a machine is usually higher then what it actually is

SEE A DOCTOR,

in the meantime, and i mean while still planning to see your doctor if your able, no matter what!! your BP is scary high...and do what you can to see your doctor and have bloodwork etc done.

you can supplement with taurine (10grams daily) for general BP , garlic extract for cholesterol , and optionally hawthorn berry extract. the taurine may allow you to see a drop within a week .. supplements are based on cost effectiveness. Taurine is cheap as dirt and it works well at that dose if your lucky it can bring you down up 9-11 points if memory serves.

How to Make Super Water

Add the following to 1 gallon of distilled water to give it a boost of enzymes and nutrients:

2 tablespoons of non-pasteurized, organic apple cider vinegar
Juice squeezed from ½ organic lemon
2 ounces of organic aloe vera juice

3 Health Benefits of Distilled Water | Natural Health & Organic Living Blog

That will fix the water. I take Cayenne Pepper tincture (make it myself) & it keeps BP just right. CP seeks to bring homeostasis in the body. The benefits are many. FWIW, High BP is a symptom of a larger problem & a BP pill only masks the problem. Knowledge/truth is power & health. That's all I'll say. Wish you well.

All of these remedies are well and good, but TELL YOUR DOCTOR you are using them in case an adjustment needs to be made to his plan of care. You may think he doesn't need to know since they are "only" supplements, but I have seen a woman die from this. The family brought in the "pills" she had been taking along with her prescribed meds. Not knowing what they were, we had to have them analyzed. By then it was too late for us to really do anything for her. Some things just don't mix well. This was an extremely rare case of course, but I have personal experience that it can and does happen. A perfectly healthy young lady tried some supplements given to her by a friend and the reaction was fatal. It was heartbreaking.

I can tell you that high nic stuff will cause your blood pressure to sky rocket. Was doing 18 myself and then went to the emergency room close to heart attack level, felt like it. Was informed, and they did tests, that the high nic, since I chain vaped, was causing it.

Im just doing 5-6 mg now and im not chain vaping anymore,i also stopped coffee and junk food and walk 5 miles/day,my BP is back down to 145/90,still high but im working on it.
