Hello,
I've been off the stinkies for a solid two years now.

I wouldn't have been able to stop smoking without ECF. However I did get caught into the trend of bigger clouds, more airflow, and higher power consumption. I realized I wasn't changing my daily Nicotine intake by halving the concentration and doubling the cloud size each time *.* It was fun though!

So I want to share a hint of wisdom from my experience.

When I got tired of huffing and puffing and blowing all the clouds. And had my laughs at people's eyes popping out I decided I had to go back to m2l, I wanted something less.. "IN YOUR FACE I QUIT SMOKING AND I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK HAHAHA!"
Plus I was going through so much juice I might as well have just drank it ':3

So I pulled out the old thin kanthal, wrapped up a tiny ol' coil. haha I hadn't crafted one so small for so long I was impressed by how easy it went! Threw some of my favorite wick material in and grabbed the old bottle of 12mg/ml...
And I was right back where I started! But it was comfortable, I didn't get as many gawkers, and surprise surprise suddenly a single 18650 lasts longer than expected

This is where I had to change tactics. Upon deciding to go back to 12mg/ml after being all the way down to 1.5mg/ml cloud chasing, and realizing it was no difference in intake of nicotine to my body. (At least I didn't have to huff and puff as much!) So I had to change something and it wasn't how many watts I was using. After a short acclimation I decided to start diluting my juice with 0mg/ml
And that reduction happened fast! in less than a week I had halved my nicotine intake without any disadvantage! *.* I was baffled that first major reduction in intake hadn't phased me at all.

By that time I realized the most important part is staying comfortable with it. So I stayed there for a few weeks before I decided I was really gonna do it! I'm gonna quit nicotine!

So I set myself an archaic regiment to;
1.) Stick with one device.

So I picked up a 10pack of squid RDA super cheap

2.) Stick with the same build.

I had chose a mech so my power level would vary a little. It's more important to stay at the same ml/day anyway so find your favorite coil put it in your favorite topper and don't change that!

3.) Stick less Nicotine in each bottle I mixed

Yea it's pretty basic. When I had already dropped from 12 down to 6mg I tracked how many ml I vape per day while comfortable and decided I need to stay at that constant of approximately 2ml/day
So I mixed 60ml bottles of descending concentrations by 1mg/ml each time. starting from the 6mg I was at I would be completely Nicotine free in ..No time! ':O wow sounds good!
But even more surprisingly I would experience no withdrawal at all. I was completely comfortable at 2ml/day tapering off nicotine so slowly.

So I guess I'm just trying to advise that you take your time, relax, and enjoy the vape.

♥ to all, stay comfortable.

Welcome and glad you joined. Some folks never get it. I'm at zero nic, with no monkey on my back other than enjoying several good vapes every day at the lowest settings (my Istick 40 is in it's second year). You have maybe 2/3 of your life left to you, nice time to stop and smell/enjoy the roses.

Nicotine is not considered addictive to never-smokers. Once I was free of actual tobacco's addiction (or even not quite), I realized I was getting far more pure nicotine than I ever wanted or liked and slashed it overnight. Perhaps I should now continue that trend.

:thumb: I've always enjoyed the feeling but simply wouldn't be a smoker, just someone that could "borrow" one here and there, and never crave them. I even tested myself be "borrowing" a LOT of them when I was trying to get my wife to quit smoking... to the point that I would have more than she did per day for a few weeks, I'd just stop and never bothered by it at all. I did that a few times throughout the years, and drove her nuts for it...

Weather or not that is true, 2ml a day at 1mg/ml is far less of a dose than any patch or lozenge can provide. And makes me suspicious that I had an easier time with ecigs than I would have had with those other NRT

"whether" you mean.... It is, I'm an example, but I know that there's not that many...

But what I've observed with my wife and daughter that both tried to quit many times (and nothing worked), is that for many, it's not so much the nicotine (while some people are more affected by it), it's the actual habit of both the hands needing something to fidget with, or the oral fixation.

My wife for example tried everything out there, and nothing worked, until the first e-cigarette (over 9 years ago now) while with one "puff" she declared that it would work, and it did, and the nicotine level itself was quite minor in those ancient things.

@Imfallen_Angel thanks for the correction on the homophone, I think I'll leave it unedited for fun.

I still enjoy vaping even though I miss the th from the nic so I think you're on to something with the hand to mouth thing.
Plus there's that bottle of menthol I can't stay out of:drool:...hated menthol cigs but lately I can't get enough of it:?::lol:

(I just found the Smileys)
