Hello dear reader, today I present my long-term Review of the Wotofo Recurve unregulated Squonk.
This time is isn’t a whole year but around three months of constant use, as such, I call it a long-term Review.
I bought this mod in on fasttech on a whim since it was on sale and 21700 Mosfet Squonks are rather rare.
Product living conditions:
Most of my mods and attys get used and abused extensively, if they last longer than a year, it’s already impressive. My wife as well as my closest friends, whom I proudly converted from smoking, have permission to use most of my stuff. Which sometimes results in dead mods and beat up devices. We also have a “community vape cemetery” kind of thing going. I hate obsolete stuff so I think it may be worth to look for older gear, that is cheaper by now, if one knows if it’s worth it. I’ll do my best to give you my unbiased opinion.

My usual paragraph about mechs doesn’t fit here, but be sure to know your ohm’s law does also apply when using unregulated mods. Sure, you do have short protection and low voltage cut-off, but be sure to use good batteries from trusted vendors and don’t stress them too hard.
All them protections:
· Short circuit protection
· Low voltage protection
· Overheating protection
· 10s auto cutoff protection
· Reverse battery protection
· Overcharging & over discharging protection
Package Contents:
· The Mod itself
· 8ml Silicone Squonk Bottle
· Battery Adapter
· Micro-usb cable
Appearance:
I’ll keep this short since you all know how the Recurve Squonk looks by now. Front fire front squonk is something a lot of people wanted for a squonker and Wotofo or Mike listened and built it this way. The curved shape will not be everyone’s cup of tea but I like it. I got the black and white version and the rubberized white is surprisingly resistant to dirt, which is nice, I thought I was going to clean this more than vaping it, but that’s not the case.
Thoughts/Experience:
The first thing I noticed was the squonk bottle reeking like I imagine a silicone production plant, I soaked it in soapy warm water for half a day and the smell was gone. Other than that, It’s a standard squonk bottle with a screw top, it holds roughly 9ml but you can’t fill it all the way or you’ll get leaks when screwing the top on, hence why it’s marked 8ml. 5 Clicks to turn it off or on, it also turns on when you insert a battery, which is indicated by the led behind the fire button that also illuminates the bottle a little, but not in an obnoxious way, I like it. Even for a single 21700, this one is quite a brick tbh and relatively heavy. Due to the size, it’s also nothing for a shirt pocket. It’s about as heavy as the Tesla Steampunk 120 which is a full zinc alloy dual battery mod. I looked it up and the Recurve also uses a zinc alloy body under the rubber finish.
Usage:
My extremely in-depth scientific testing (me vaping...) could not detect any difference to the Thunderstorm Mech Squonk when using the same RDA, in this case the Nudge 24 with the same fresh 30T. So there isn’t a lot of power getting lost in the mosfet, good job wotofo. The mod fires quick and there’s no detectable pulsing going on that I experienced with other mosfets. The squonk bottle holding 8ml is really comfortable and a lot of times my battery was depleted to non-enjoyable levels before the bottle was completely empty.
Damages:
None yet but when oversquonking, liquid can enter around the fire button and I have had a drop of juice ingress here and there so I’m wary of the mosfet failing someday.
Pros:
· 21700
· Mosfet protected
· Ergonomic form
· 8ml bottle
Cons:
· Big for a single battery squonker
· Really heavy for a single battery squonker
· Slight juice ingress is a bit concerning

Summary:
The Recurve Squonk Mod is a good Mosfet Squonk for the niche it is in. It’s a nice workhorse of a mod and can take a lot of abuse, it survived to drops on hardwood floor without any damages. Build quality is on point too as I’m used to by wotofo. The only real con is the weight, I’m not sure what makes it so heavy and am 100% positive the weight could have been reduced by not using a zinc alloy for the body, which would have made it that much better. Using it with 18650’s is pretty much pointless because of this.
I never did number ratings before but for a single 21700 mosfet squonker, I’ll give it a 7.5/10 just because it doesn’t have a lot of competition. That’s about it, Folks, if you made it this far, thanks for reading! Hope to see you next time when another product will be tested by time. And me, ofc.
I quit cigarettes in 2016 thanks to vaping, after smoking 1.5 packs a day for 17 years. Since then, my health has recovered tremendously. I have also built a solid collection of mods and atomizers. Now that I feel informed enough to review something, I want to give back something useful to this community that gave me so much valuable information when I started out. I’m going to review everything from a non- professional user standpoint. There is enough shilling out there. Unless stated otherwise, I bought most of my reviewed products so I’m not going to let anything but the test of time and ease of use determine the outcome of my review. I’ll give you my honest thoughts, whether you like them or not.
