My 510 USB charger is only a couple of weeks old. The light started to go off. Unless I place the charger a certain way, the light won't stay on.

I know that it isn't just the light either because the e cig will start flashing when I adjust the charger.

Is it going to die? Is it messed up? How often are there problems with these things?

Never had a problem with mine, you possibly have a dud. Contact the seller, warranty should be good for at least 6 months

USB cables are notorious for this. Sounds like one of the little wires inside the plastic housing of the charger is a little loose. Make sure there are no crimps in the cable. It shouldn't die, but you're probably going to want to replace it soon.

As for the little light. When it's done charging it goes green, but if you move it around too much it should turn red, try to charge a little more, then go green again. My recommendation would be to unscrew the battery once the light turns green so that it doesn't inadvertently discharge the battery.

I have one like that too. The battery don't screw in. It's held by a clamp. Sometimes the clamp isn't strong enough to keep the battery in contact with the charger, and the battery slides out enough to break contact. I suspect if you push the battery into the charger, it runs normally. Try putting a rubber band around it to keep the battery pushing into the charger.

My charger is having problems, too. I thought I would add to this thread instead of starting a new one. Good news is that I have a kit with another charger waiting for me at the post office that I will pick up today.

Only had the charger since Tuesday. Probably charged 5 batteries in it. Last night when we got home, I noticed that it was showing a green light but there wasn't even a battery in it. Plugged in a dead battery and light turned red. Checked it this morning and the light was still red.

Tried unscrewing and screwing back in the battery, pressing the battery button while it was in the charger, etc. Charger still glows green when no battery in it and red when a battery is in it but doesn't seem to be charging it.

For now, I just unplugged it and will try it again tonight when I get home. Any ideas?

My 510 charger light stays green even when there is no battery screwed into it. When I put a batt in it the light turns red until the batt is charged, then it will turn green. I think the 510 batteries will still continue to charge even when the charge light turns green.

That is why I leave my batt to charge overnight or when not in use. I've never had any problems with just leaving the battery in the charger. It is wise to have an extra charger. I opted to get the PCC as an extra charger that I can charge on my computer.

My wife has a USB wall and car charger for her phone that has the same plug fitting to charge the PCC, I haven't tried them out yet though.

Well, I have to apologize. Charger is just fine. My husband left for work a few minutes before I got up and had swapped batteries. So, when I checked it, the battery had only been on there a few minutes!!

Good grief! We are going to have to come up with a system. I think I am going to have to find some dish that has spots for charged and needs charged batteries....

Having to move your charger around a certain way to have it work correctly seems indicative of a bad connection. It is probably inside of your charger. If you are comfortable soldering, you could probably fix it yourself. I would probably ask for a replacement first and say that your charger is defective. After you get your new charger, play around with your broken charger. Good luck.
