In one sentence you said "its seems like a lot about features rather than durability or basic performance" in the next you said. "Other than MY opus bt-3100 v2.2 blah blah blah"
I took the first sentence as them not having great durability and I took the other one as you owning one.
Well I got my opus today. Pretty nice charger if it lasts. The complaint I have is that I wish It had an off switch so the screen wasn't always on. Then again, does any charger with a lcd display do that?
Also, if you have watched reviews on youtube you have probably seen that it comes with a euro plug and an adapter for the US. I was glad to see it came with US plug, no adapter needed but that probably depends on where you order it from.

The screen backlight turns off after a while, doesn't it? It does on my v2.1

On the xtar VC4, if you hold down the button for about 2 seconds, the LCD turns off. If not, it starts out bright for about 10 seconds and then drops to dim during charging.
