I've spent the day researching different tube and bottom feed mods.
Ideally I would like to use a battery with the highest mah rating as possible, but I'd also like to know if some batteries are compatible.
The Precise Plus does take the 18650 2400mah batteries. The mini reo and mini woodvil also take 1850 batteries, but the reosmods site only offers the 1600 mah version. Are the 2400 mah batteries also compatible with a mini reo?
The idea of a non disposable all mechanical mod is pretty appealing to me, and it'd be super if both mods could use the same batteries.
Thanks guys.

the REO mini takes a 14500 - the REO Grand takes an 18650.

The difference you are seeing looking at batteries is the battery chemistry. The 1600 mah batts you saw are probably AW IMR high drain 18650s. the 2400 mah batts could have been trustfire flame or similar li-on 18650s

If you plan to use low resistance attys or cartos, it is generally accepted that the better performance is to be found with IMR high drain batteries than with li-on batteries. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of threads on ECF discussing the benefits and virtues of each battery chemistry.

thx. :) ya i did a bit more digging and realized this thread was a bit redundant. sorry guys.

I didn't mean to make you feel that way. You're better off asking questions than acting/buying with too little information. I just hoped to lead you to some of the conversations that might help you make an informed decision.

imr batteries it is. they can still both be used by the precise, vmod, and reo. on the reo site i guess i had misread which batteries were appropriate for the grand and the mini. i thought it was a counterintuitive battery match.
i kind of live in fear of whether a future mod will be confiscated once delivered through customs. my first order was from the states but i don't know if i have the gall to attempt it a second time, and i wasn't aware of that possibility when i placed my order.
i found both the precise and the vmod through a canadian retailer. while the prices are a little inflated it doesn't work out to much more than if i had ordered from the original suppliers. i'll probably stick with imr 18650s and the mods that are available domestically.
thanks guys.
now let the saving begin.
