So I'm the new owner of this beautiful mod
bemutuhe.jpg

And I just LOVE it in 18350 hybrid mode.. Unfortunately, that Patriot is running a .4 ohm quad coil setup, so that is just for picture reference... I'm afraid I have measly efest 18350s. Curious as to what brand I should be looking for that has a higher amp limit. Not necessarily to run super sub ohm, but definitely between . 6-.9 area?

I've never went 18350 but I'm really digging it. What is your favorite 18350/ohm combo?

Edit : I know subohming and 18350 haven't went hand in hand in the past, but primarily using 18650s and only focusing on those models, I'm wondering if something new has come along with a higher output.

I don't really recommend going lower than 0.8 ohm on any 18350 IMR. Mainly because its such a small battery with a small capacity (mah) that its going to really drain fast if you push them to their limits. You'll be going through batteries about every 3 - 4 hous if you use them for coils below 0.8 ohm. However, if you don't mind carrying a dozen batteries with you...

I use the AW 18350 batteries in my Provari Mini with a Kayfun with 1.4 ohm coil and get 5 - 6 hours run time.

If you are a power vaper, 18350 is problematic in terms of vape time.
I use the Efest 18350(red) at .8ohms without issue and get avg. 2-2.5 hours.
The Purple will run about the same but can go a little lower if desired.

Where the 18350's shine is using a Kayfun @ 1.4ohms. Smooth power delivery and 4-5hrs run time(casual vaping)

Magma single coiled @ 1.4ohms on a 4Nine 18350 isn't to shabby either. :)

I would personally recommend the Efest Purple 18350 700mah, it has been tested and passed. I feel like i've been saying this a lot because I guess 10.5A is hard to believe on an 18350, but it does actually work quite well at a high drain, albeit for a short amount of time because of 700mah.

Test/Review of Efest IMR18350 700mAh (Purple) 2014

This cell has very impressive high current capability, but do not get it if you want a lot of capacity.
It looks like a good cell.

I own two of the flat top purple 18350's and have built numerous .45 to .55 ohm coils on them and they don't even get close to warm even during a 10+ second discharge, they've really impressed me as far as 18350's go, definitely the highest drain IMR option in the size.

The battery life is run through quite quickly at 10A on a 700mah battery, but that was to be expected from me.
