I stripped the post screws, and check this out. So I go to take my first build out cause I notice the positive post was lose, and I take that Allen wrench they give us to tighten it down and it doesn't want to tighten down, it's like the screw is to small and now it won't even stay on the deck at all, I called the place I ordered it from and they said 3 out of the 10 they got have the same problem, and that NOT including mine, like this is straight BS, they might have really messed ALOT of these v2s up
What's your serial #? I'd say you def got a lemon, email dotmod and they'll replace your deck for free most likely. I've not had a problem with their atties but I've heard they have great customer service.

I read a comment on youtube that dotmod is making their Petri v 2 rda in China. I think the previous versions was made in USA. Can anyone confirm where the Petri V 2 is made?
Thanks!
Can't verify that, I don't think they would switch their mfg from the USA to China. I can attest to knowing what their product mark up is, and I do not think they switched to China based off that.

Well, I ended up buying one from a local B&M for RRP and it included the new 'dot-cap'. I've never owned a petri before, nor do I have any previous experience with 'old-school' fixed AF RDAs that typically get brought up when discussing the petri.

I am very impressed with the quality of the RDA overall, I've found no machining flaws and the fit and finish is top notch. I find the airflow to be perfect for me. Building has been relatively easy. Performance is good, not great, but I need to experiment with coil diameter and placement as I believe placement is the key to modulating how the RDA vapes.

My one serious, huge, frustrating con - it whistles... Doesn't matter if I take a slower inhale or pull as hard as I can...it whistles. Luckily my fiancé is out of town so she can't complain about the noise, but I am driving my dogs crazy each time I vape, and I'll be next to go crazy. I'm extraordinarily hesitant to attempt to modify the barrel given the price of the RDA. I don't know if it's even worth my while to email dotmod about the issue...

Second to last line :nah:

Guess that's why it's a little cheaper and we get a drip tip this time.

Not sure how I feel about it...

Kinda bothers me. They should have lowered the price more than $10 since MFG cost went down (I'm assuming). Besides, dotmod has a 100% mark up for retail as is, so stores get Petri mod's for $100~ & atties for $45, caps for $12, etc.

Yeah, saw you mentioned that when I posted my petri mod breakdown.

Kind of a dick move IMO

Agreed. I like their products, but they should lower prices. I believe localvape, dotmod, flawless, & anarchist all work together pretty much. Release different products but very similar things about them. For example the DT on the tug v3 is identical to a standard wide bore Petri DT.

I'm still getting the run around from infamousvapes I ordered my v2 like feb17th and they at first said Feb 21st then a couple more days then beginning of this week. I have spoke to one of the reps there and I truly believe they are waiting also (one of the people I spoke to said she is waiting as she purchased one from the shipment and is getting ancy also) it just sucks when I originally ordered they had no mention of it being back ordered sighhhhh

And ya for a China manufactured RDA it would have been nice for a much lower price I'm kind if regretting not just buying another k24 as my first was stolen shortly after I bought it

Dotmod still has your back if anything goes wrong. I know people who've gotten bad v1.5's (made in USA) & dotmod has replaced their decks for no charge. My concern is the screws. They're quite easy to strip if you don't have the right size Phillips (0 or 00). Good thing is the Allen key provided will fit in the screws if stripped.

First I wanna say I don't care what you have to say if your gunna be disrespectful about what I'm gunna post.

Ok so I have never owned any of the Petri series and I'm not gunna lie I'm a little disappointed with this v2. First I wanna say I just got mine today and I already stripped one of the screws doing my FIRST build on it. The airflow is kinda lacking for me, I like a lot of airflow, it also make a whistle sound. The juice well isn't as deep as I though. And the O rings on the deck aren't that good. For 90$ I would have though I was gunna get somthing amazing, I just Pre Ordered the Goon Rda, by Blue eyes goon and 528 custom vapes, and that was 60$ and that thing looks NEXT LEVEL!! I don't hate the Petri just wish it was a little different! Everyone has their opinion and I'm just giving mine.

Protip: Tighten the screws snug with a screwdriver and then use needle nose pliers to finish torquing them down. That's what the ridges around the screws are for.

They're meant to be thumb screws, then tightened down with a Phillips head..meant to hold your first coil in place while installing a second. That was a big thing with the v1, installing coils into the post holes wasn't the easiest because they would slip out of place when going to install your second coil. So they made thumb screws to make life easier. No pliers needed.

Like many other folks I usually end up stripping the head if I torque them down with the phillips. I prefer my method but different strokes for different folks.

I saw one of Grimm greens round tables with some local vapes guys and they recommended using needle nose pliers to tighten them down also.

Good news everyone I finally got my shipping notice in today from infamousvapes for my petri v2

Finally got mine in and I'm loving it Definitely a super smooth draw and vape and the flavors is great. I was getting whistling at first but it went away. The vapor production is actually more then I thought but definitely not a "Cloudzzzz Bro" RDA which I'm not really a fan of anyways.
