I'm going to take a pic of the finished product. Now it is just out of the CnC and only the base.
Flavor is the same. It hits a bit more, due to the bigger channels. You can go from MTL to direct lung draws with no problem (I've been blowing clouds all day). The bases went into production today. They will be ready until the end of the week, in which point they will go to be polished and satin (they need to be polished first before the satin layer, to have a perfect finish). Next week we will put into production the new poles. Since we have a LOT of new components, it will propably come out as the Calix v2. Of course the kit (side air flow base + pole) will become available and every part of the v2 will fit the v1 as well. But we will have new parts like, plexiglass tube, new designs on the caged sleeve, new base, new pole, propably new design on the upper cap (not sure yet about it, I want to see it and get a feel of it first), P3 base and a nano kit ( shorter chamber with short plexiglass tube ). We will pretty much provide all the available setups in the market today, in one atomizer

!I've had my Calix in use for around a week. Using Halo TriBeCa, not very thick, guessing 70pg, 30 vg. 28ga kanthal, 7-8 wraps, 2.5 mm diameter coil, 1.4-1.6 ohms. Watts ~ 5-11. KGD cotton. Coil pointed to juice holes.
I seem to get some wick burning/discoloration when JFC is open 1 turn. Am opening it ~ 3 1/4 turns now to see what happens.
Any thoughts?
Am liking it so far.
Looking forward to afc base. Any other parts needed to attach it to the (now original) calix?

If your wick is on the liquid feed holes, you need the liquid control open more. Three-four turns should do itThe "half-to-one turn" setup, is when the wick is away from the liquid feed, which lets the whole base to get filled with liquid and the wicks are getting saturated from there. Like a dripping atomiser. This will give you a boost in flavor as well.
For the new base of the Calix you will need the base and pole, which will be given as a set. Nothing else

You will have a leak only if you open the liquid control too much. But that can happen with the wicks in the feed as well.
We will first finish the Calix as a whole with its setups so we can have stock again and then we will start another production for the set and P3 bases without a break.

I kind of remember you saying, that you will have the 510 side air flow base available, before the P3 base, is that still the case? I am just wondering, I am interested in the P3 base, but not sure I want to wait till next year, to get the calix with side air flow. I do have 2 Provari' TI's that have the P3 top cap, and I have never used the P3 connector. I did buy a Kayfun V4 that I was going to use on one of them, but I could never get the base apart to install the P3 base for it. Then I found the the V4 was more of a PIA, than it was worth.
I am looking forward to finally ordering one of these, P3 base or not.

Lookie Lookie what I got in the mail from a great ECF member...the Calix baby!!! I'm already loving this beauty y'all! As soon as I opened it up I got me a coil made and got her all set up. I've been enjoying it for a few hours now and love it! I honestly can't imagine it getting an better! I look for ward to the P3 base and I will be getting the cage to go around it for extra protection as well. Im really enjoying the Calix! I've seen where 3 coils have been made and set up in the Calix, I'm honestly not sure why or what that does, but was wondering. Does anyone here do that? Why fo you do that and what does it do?
