I currently use the Aspire Guroo tank, but have found that the flavour delivery isn't exactly the greatest, I'm also conscious that I am using the 0.15 coil at the top of its rated use (70w usually). I've also noticed the tank leaks, its intermittent, and I haven't worked out the cause yet, but I can go days at a time with no issues, then I'll pick it up to use it and the top of my mod is flooded with a small pool of liquid around the base of the tank. It seems to seep out from behind the airflow ring.

I vape with a fully open airflow ring, usually at 70w (though would like to go a bit higher), I much prefer a top fill system, and whilst gimmicky I do appreciate the top replacement coils on my tank (it is supposedly a no juice loss and a leak free design, for those unfamiliar, you take the top cap off, then pull the airflow ring down, which releases the coil and shoots up metal shutters inside the tank to trap the liquid inside the tank). I have the uprated tube to get 4ml capacity.

For reference my mod is the iJoy Captain PD270, with iJoy's own 3000 mAh 20700 batteries ("High Rate 40A" and "3.7V 11.10Wh" printed on the side). It is a 510 thread.

What I am after is good flavour and vapour cloud, decent wattage rating on the coils, top fill system with good airflow, as much tank capacity as possible.

► Eleaf Iore Lite 2; First Impressions:
The Eleaf Lite 2 is a minimal Pod device with an affordable price, it is entirely made of plastic, it is not bulky, it is very light and easy to use. The air flow is fixed and not adjustable, there are two small opposing holes on the body of Iore 2 for an exclusively MTL type of use.





The rounded and soft form factor of Iore 2 is accompanied by some decorative lettering; "ELEAF" and "IORE LITE 2". At the bottom of the body there is a single light (LED) for checking the battery charge level. The LED only lights up white when using the device and when charging it. When the battery is completely discharged the light flashes a few times.





On the bottom there is the 5V / 0.5A USB-C charging port which allows you to recharge the internal 490mAh battery in about 60 minutes.



The compartment/pod contains the electrical contact pins and two magnets to firmly hold the cartridge to the mod, in the center there is the sensor for automatic activation of the shot. For the packaging of Iore 2 and for transport, Eleaf has protected the electrical contacts of the cartridge with a sticker that must be removed by the user.



The dark colored PCTG cartridge offers a discreet internal visibility and can contain up to 2ml of e-liquid. The integrated 1.0Ω Mesh coil is not replaceable. According to the specifications released by the manufacturer, the IORE cartridge should be able to be filled at least 10 times before needing to be replaced.





► Eleaf Iore Lite 2; Final conclusions:
The integrated 1.0Ω Mesh-coil in combination with the two small airflows produces a fairly restricted MTL vape type, this feature in combination with e-liquid with a high nic concentration could be a winning strategy for those who intend to abandon the habit of smoking and approaching vaping for the first time. The aromatic yield and the vapor emission are good and in line with the best products in this category. The draw is smooth and silent, however with low battery charge levels the draw tends to gurgle, after the battery has been recharged the gurgle draw out. I have not recorded any liquid leaks, but I would like to remind everyone that this type of device requires periodic drying of the contacts to prevent any condensation from penetrating inside the circuit causing damage. Eleaf Iore 2 is available at the best stores or shops at a particularly low and inviting price of around €10. Iore 2 Pod Kit I liked it and if you are compulsive I would recommend the purchase of at least two devices due to the small size of the battery which does not allow a long autonomy.

Hello again. Yes it’s me again back with yet another review. This time I’ll be taking a look at the Lost Vape Ursa S and Ursa Nano Art. They are very similar and the pods are interchangeable so I thought it would be a good idea to cover both in one review. Both devices have an internal 800mah battery and are auto draw only with no button and no airflow control. However the S comes with a disposable pod while the Art comes with a pod with replaceable coils. Both pods have a 2.5ml capacity. The S has a nice smooth feel to the body of the device that reminds me of a silk mod that I had years ago. The Art is made of a clear plastic with artistic designs inside the body to give it more appeal and the light on the bottom illuminates the body of the Art throughout.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Nano S has the Lost Vape Quest name printed on the top corner with a really nice color picture of the device contained inside. The Ursa S name is on the bottom on one side with a sticker indicating that the S uses the Quest 2.0 chip. The side of the box has a list of features and the back side has a contents list, a warning, authenticity code, and a sticker indicating that the version inside is in fact the Full Black version.

Once opened, inside you will find the Ursa Nano S device with a single .8 ohm disposable pod pre-installed and a USB-C charging cable. Also included is a user manual. There’s only one pod included in the kit in order to keep cost down but as usual, I really think there should always be two pods included in a kit in case there is an immediate failure. You can see in the picture below that the Lost Vape name is printed in fairly large white letters on one side. The opposite side has the Ursa S name also printed in white lettering.

The USB-C charging port is located on the side on this one with a single airflow inlet hole above the port. The opposite side has a single blue indicator light on it with another single airflow hole. I felt like this one had a little too much airflow for MTL so used my finger to cover one of the holes when taking a puff.

The single pod does come with a safety seal over the pod contacts to keep users from taking a puff prior to filling the pod. Inside the pod opening on the battery is the usual two gold plated spring loaded contacts, two magnets to secure the pod, and the airflow inlet sensor opening.

The pod included in both kits has a 2.5ml capacity which is nice compared to most pods having a 2ml capacity. This pod and the one with the Art pod are identical in size but the one that comes with the Art uses replaceable coils. When I received the Art pods for the review there were no coils in the pods and the Art batteries were simply wrapped in plastic with no box or accessories. I will say that as far as rubber plugs go on pods, these are one of the easiest I’ve used to open.

Although the Ursa S has a really nice hand feel, it’s a little plain looking and the large white branding is a bit much to me. The Art has a totally different look and feel. The body of the Art is made of a clear plastic and the opening for the pod is also clear. If the pod itself wasn’t tinted so dark then it would make the liquid level in the pod easier to see without removing the pod.

I received a blue and a yellow Art pod for the review along with a box each of the .6 and .8 ohm coils. The coils do deliver good flavor. To me the airflow level is pretty much the same between the disposable pods and these. The Art pods have the Lost Vape name on one side and the Ursa Art name on the opposite side. This one is auto draw only also. However, the clear body exposes some pretty cool artwork on the insert contained inside. When you take a puff then the blue light on the bottom illuminates and projects through the body of the mod. To me the blue one looks especially good when illuminated.

The 5v/2A charging port is located on the bottom of the Art pod. The bottom of the pod has two magnets on it to secure it into the opening on the battery. The coils are simple push in style but you want to pay attention to the shape of the opening to align the coils properly so that the slot on the bottom of the coil is in line with the side of the pod.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I felt like I would have preferred a bit of a tighter draw with both pods since the airflow is a pretty loose MTL to me. It almost hits that point between MTL and RDL. A bit loose for MTL and just a little too tight for RDL. That being said, both pods produce decent flavor and a fair amount of vapor for pod devices. The S has a 16W maximum output while the Art tops out at 18W. That’s probably why I preferred the Art pod during my testing. I really couldn’t tell a difference in flavor between the disposable pod at .8 ohms and the one with the replaceable .8 ohm coil. It did seem like the .6 ohm coil on the Art pod gave a slightly larger amount of vapor and was a little warmer.

The S has a really nice hand feel to it with whatever coating they used on it. It feels like it should be a soft rubber or something but it isn’t. The Art is really kind of nice looking and some might like how the blue light illuminates the body when taking a puff while others might not like the unneeded attention if they are trying to stealth vape. I really do kind of like the light effect but would use it either way. There isn’t a way to turn off the light on the Art.

So would I recommend the Ursa S or the Ursa Art for you? Maybe. It vapes nice enough but to me neither has the features that would make me or a seasoned vaper that I know buy these over some of the other more advanced pod devices on the market. However, they might very well appeal to a smoker making the switch looking for a simplistic pod device that does what it’s supposed to do.

► Smoant Knight 40 Kit; First Impressions:
In full cyberpunk style, the Knight 40 body is made of zinc alloy and PCTG with only the upper part in metal, all the rest is in transparent plastic.



This is an "All-In-One" type device and the tank inserted directly inside the mod allows you to keep the dimensions compact, the side type-C 1-A charging port allows you to recharge the mod in a time of about 90 minutes.



The air flow enters the cartridge from the upper part of the device, descends towards the coil and then rises again through the chimney. You can select a restricted MTL or DL type air inlet by simply moving the slider key to one side or the other, or position it in the center for RDL or with other intermediate positions as you prefer.





The part dedicated to the handle of Knight 40 is ergonomically shaped and recalls a BF system with the bottle to squeeze, in reality it is not a bottle but a plastic casing branded "Smoant", the casing contains inside the built-in battery.



The bottom base is wide enough to keep the mod upright even while charging the battery, there are several safety vent holes on the bottom for the battery.



In the control panel, there is the fire button, the screen and the "+ and -" adjustment buttons. The position of the fire button is placed quite low, approximately in the center of the mod, I would have preferred the button to have been placed a bit higher. The small 0.42" screen displays; vaping mode, battery life, lock/unlock symbol, wattage setting, coil resistance and puff counter. The screen is bright enough but i font of some information is quite small to display. To turn on/off the device, press the Fire button five times, the power adjustment from 1 to 40W has steps of 0.1W per time. The intelligent chip of Knight 40 automatically adjusts the power according to the coil you are using and the screen shows the correct wattage range you should use for each coil. If you wish, you can manually change the wattage, even outside the recommended range for the coil. By pressing the "+" buttons together and -" you can lock/unlock the Mod, in the locked position you can't vape. You can clear the number of puffs by pressing the "+ and -" keys and the Fire key together. With 3 clicks on the Fire key you can select the mod DVW mode to adjust the power output curve in a customized way, after confirming the DVW mode the adjustment keys will be locked except the Fire key, so in this case you can vape.



The internal shape of the Mod is shaped to accommodate the cartridge which is effectively held by an internal magnet that works on a raised metal base in the compartment / pod, on the bottom of the compartment there are the contact pins for the transfer of electrical impulses towards the resistance .



The cartridge holds up to 3.5ml of liquid. At the top of the cartridge is the convenient airflow control switch, and below is the rubber cap for refilling. The transparency of the cartridge is not the best, indeed it is rather dark and it is difficult to view the internal liquid level through the 3 slits on the Mod, so without extracting the cartridge you can turn the Mod upside down and try to see if the liquid is present inside of the cartridge through the apical part of the cartridge in the area surrounding the drip-tip.



The coils are inserted by pressure in the lower part of the cartridge. Every time you replace a coil you will need to screw the airflow base onto each coil, so avoid losing or accidentally throwing away this important threaded base.



For Knight 40 cartridge, Smoant introduced 3 new resistances; S4, S5, S6. In total there are 7 compatible coils, and also an RBA base. Included in this kit you get the 0.35Ω S-4 Mesh-coil for DL with 30-35W range and the 1.1Ω S-6 coil for restricted MTL with 7-12W range.



► Smoant Knight 40 Kit; Vaping Test and Final Conclusions:
For this test, I used a TOB "hipnos" flavor diluted 10% in a 50:50 VG/PG base with 3mg/ml of boost.

• S-6 coil 1.1Ω Range 7-12W :
With this Coil the Smart chip automatically sets the power to 10W and being a coil for restricted MTL it is necessary to reduce the air flow by moving the slider until it is almost completely closed, in this way you get a contrasted shot and a discreet flavor with a good fluffy. For MTL it would have been better to have a replaceable drip-tip as the internal diameter is large and more suitable for RDL / DL. The hit in the throat with 3mg/ml of nicotine is limited but it is also normal since it is the classic MTL coil to be used with higher boost concentrations.

• S-4 Mesh-Coil 0.35Ω Range 30-35W:
Luckily Smoant has introduced a coil in the package that is more suited to my vaping style and I must say that I am really happy with this S-4. The power suggested by the Chip Smart is 30W, the activation of this Mesh is instantaneous, the flavor is good right away and without plastic or cotton aftertaste. With the AFC fully open the vapor clouds are dense and creamy, restricting the airflow increases heat and throat hit. With this coil the small 1.500mAh battery at 30w selected all in all allows you to also obtain a good number of puffs.

In conclusion I think Knight 40 is a good All-in one kit, aesthetically beautiful in its robocop style, and also comfortable to carry. The adjustable airflow has a comfortable and effective adjustment system, but with some internal liquid level display problems due to the opaque cartridge. The supply of spare coils is good and there is also an RBA base to learn how to self-build your own coils. The Smart automatic power setting function is well managed, because when a new coil is inserted, the range is also indicated on the screen, a moment after viewing the range the power is automatically set to the best wattage. With this ANT chip you can also have fun customizing the power curve using the DVW mode. If you are looking for an affordable and easy to use All-in-one kit this Knight-40 by Smoant could be the right choice for you.

Hello and welcome back to my next review for Dovpo. This time I was sent the BP Mods Lightsaber Pod Mod kit in order to provide you with a fair, honest, and hopefully informative review. The Lightsaber is a tube style pod mod with a few twists and turns that might surprise you. There are two versions which are the L and the S versions. I only received the L version for this review. It has an internal 2100mah battery that supplies you with an output range of 5-60 watts. It has a 5V/2A charging rate to get you back up and running quickly when you need to recharge. Included in the kit is a 5ml pod tank and two coils. The specs say that it’s supposed to include two different coils but my kit contained two of the .3 ohm coils. I mentioned that there are a few neat features of the Lightsaber but I’ll get into those later.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Lightsaber mod is very similar to other BP Mods samples that I have received recently. The outer sleeve that is over the box has the BP Mods and Lightsaber name on the front with the words Luxury Edition somewhat faded in larger lettering in the background. The back side of the box the contents list, some specifications, authenticity code, company information, and a bar code sticker stating the version contained inside. As you can see I received the silver L version which is the larger of the two available models. The L version has a 2100mah internal battery while the smaller S version has a 1500mah internal battery.

Once the outer sleeve and box top are removed then you can see the Lightsaber mod and two different drip tips in a foam insert. There is a box to the right that contains two coils, a USB-C charging cable, and an accessory bag. I have to say that I really like the looks of this mod and the wood on the handle is real. There is even a warning on the plastic wrap on the handle warning you to protect the wood from certain things like fire and strong sunlight. There are also different handle sleeve materials available for ordering separately.

When you look at the Lightsaber you might think the pod portion on top is a top fill but actually it’s a pod. You pull the silver cap off the top and there is a rubber fill plug underneath that you have to lift to fill just like any other pod. The pod has a liquid capacity of 5ml.

The bottom of the pod has four magnets to help it attach to the base opening of the mod very securely. In the first picture below you can see how the base has two raised sections that contain the magnets and there are openings or notches in between them. This is because this allows the pod to align with the raised notches in the base opening to keep the pod from turning or moving once inserted in the base. In the second picture you can see the raised notches as well as the two gold plated spring loaded contacts. The pod opening is secured to the base of the mod using three torx head screws. There is also a 510 adapter available for purchase separately that comes with three different top plates to allow it to match up with different sized tanks of 22, 24, and 26mm diameters.

The silver cap on the bottom of the Lightsaber is threaded and this is how you are able to change the handle material with other optional handle materials available for sale separately. Once the bottom cap is unscrewed then the handle portion just slides off of the end of the mod. Underneath the handle is the Lightsaber name printed on the body.

The airflow control portion is part of the mod body. This way you don’t have to worry about rotating the pod to change airflow. The airflow control ring has a series of four small holes and one larger slot opening to allow the user to get anything from a tight MTL with the 1.05 TMD coils or RDL with the .55 TMD coils, or even DTL with the .3 ohm TMD coils.

The Lightsaber is set up a little different from almost all other mods that I see. Normally the fire button and the adjustment buttons are all located on one side along with the display screen. However, the Lightsaber has the adjustment buttons on the side that has the display screen while the fire button and USB-C charging port are located on the opposite side. One thing I like is how the fire button is raised from the body enough that I can feel for the fire button without physically looking for it.

The Lightsaber has a 5V/2A charging circuit built in to get you charged and back up and running fairly quickly. The display is rather simple and pretty small on this one. It has a battery level indicator, coil resistance, set wattage, and output voltage. The set wattage is easy enough to see but my eyes aren’t the best and I honestly can’t read the lower numbers that are in a smaller font without some sort of magnification.

The menu/button operation for the Lightsaber mod is as follows.

• Press the fire button 5X to turn the mod on/off
• Press the fire button 3X to enter the menu to choose between Power, Voltage, or Bypass
• Press the + and – buttons to lock the adjustment buttons

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have very much enjoyed testing the BP Mods Lightsaber mod. It uses the same TMD series coils in the pod as the TMD Boro and Dot tanks did in my prior reviews which means that the Lightsaber can also use PNP and GTX coils below .6 ohms. This is due to the physical size of the higher resistance coils that make them not fit into the tanks or the pod for the Lightsaber. I kind of wish that it had been included in the kit but am glad that they offer a 510 adapter kit for those that want to use their own tanks. It’s also great that they thought to include three different sized rings with the adapter to allow for different size tanks.

Obviously by now, this having been the third device from BP Mods that uses the TMD coils, I am very familiar with them. The .55 ohm coil is very good for RDL running around 24 watts with the airflow partially closed. The .3 ohm coil is my favorite out of the ones I received to test and like it on this mod at 36 watts with the airflow completely open. Both coils produced pretty good flavor and plenty of vapor for my likes.

I feel like the Lightsaber is very versatile by being able to use different coils, having changeable handle materials, and the optional 510 connection makes it a complete mod useable with any tank that fits into the 5-60 watt output range. I’m sure you know the answer to this already so I’ll just say it. If you are looking for a nice tube mod with lots of options available then I’d definitely recommend this one. Just don’t forget to order the 510 adapter kit with the mod.
