Hello, today let's take a look at the Innokin Endura Apex Starter Kit. In this Test, I will review each of the features that distinguish this item. ► Innokin Endura Apex Starter Kit; First Impressions:
Endura Apex is a versatile starter kit with which Innokin aims to satisfy the different levels of experience of vapers. The classic tubular form factor allows you to contain the dimensions of the device and improve its portability. The metallic texture makes everything really sturdy, however a cylindrical device like this could easily roll on the ground and jeopardize the integrity of any tank's glass. So Innokin has brilliantly solved this fragility by equipping the Apex tank with a strong metal cage to protect the glass. Endura Apex Kit is really well cared for and you can see this by observing different details such as; the power button equipped with LEDs that is perfectly integrated into the line, the decorations on the body in the form of sober white writings, and the brightness of the ring LED that separates the body from the beautiful adjustable potentiometer on the bottom. I find aesthetically pleasing and very apt Innokin's idea to give the same "cogwheel" shape factor to the potentiometer of the Endura Mod compared to the top cap and airflow control dial of the Apex Tank.
The Fire button allows you to turn on/off the mod with 3 clicks. As I said this button is surrounded by a bright LED and there are 3 colors in the LED to indicate the current battery status during use. Each time you press the button, the LED will light up, and it will show the battery power as follows;
• Red: 0-10%
• Yellow: 10-30%
• Green: 30-100%
The potentiometer on the bottom allows you to select 2 different power levels, so with a rotation you can switch from one level to another; simultaneously the LED lights up green or red showing the currently selected power level. This LED also lights up when the Fire button is pressed.
• Green: Low Power Level 3.6v / 14.5w
• Red: High Power Level 3.85v / 16.5w
The lower base with its 22mm diameter offers good stability to keep the tube in an upright position, on the base there are the identification messages of the 1.800mah battery and there is also the Type-C charging port that allows you to fully recharge the battery in about 50 minutes.
Of course, the upper base also has a diameter of 22mm and is drilled in the center to allow you to screw the Apex Tank or any other MTL atomizer. The thread is sliding and the pin is floating and gold plated.
Innokin Apex Tank has a precise air control system to select one at a time or all 4 micro-holes with which the tank is equipped. You can therefore choose a restricted or moderately open MTL.
Apex tank is made up of 5 elements that can be separated from each other, the central structure incorporates the non-replaceable glass inside the cage, but don't worry because it will not be easy to break the glass. The metal cage therefore protects the glass well from breakage but allows you to comfortably observe the level of eliquid inside through its windows. The DripTip features two silicone rings and I really like its effective form factor for MTL extractions.
The Tank contains up to 3ml of e-liquid and can be easily refilled from the top, there are two holes; a large one for filling and a small one for venting. The top cap is threaded and guarantees a perfect and safe closure.
By unscrewing the lower base of the Apex Tank you can insert a new Coil. The Prism Coils Apex Tank is equipped with have a base with two flat sides that must be aligned with the same flat sides on the bottom of the tank.
► Innokin Endura Apex Starter Kit; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
For this test I used "Crispy Puft" aroma diluted 10% in a 50:50 PG/VG base with 3mg/ml boost. The new 0.9Ω Prism S Mesh Coil is suitable for creamy or fruity flavors and makes your e-liquid sweeter, while the 0.8Ω Prism S Coil with traditional coils in Ka1 and organic cotton is better for tobacco flavors. Both Prism Coils (also by selecting the additional power step) are activated by the chipset at a rather low power, the same manufacturer identifies them for a "MTL Restricted" type of use. So you can't expect big clouds with super concentrated flavor and strong hits, however I have to say these coils do their job both great because the draw is smooth and silent, the vapor is hot at the right point, and of course you can adjust the AFC effectively and super narrowly. These are all the necessary features that must be present in an electronic kit for those who intend to successfully switch to the vape by perfectly simulating the old puff of an analog cigarette. The Kit is available in different colors and they are all very beautiful, the paint appears robust and the style is very captivating. Both LEDs are precise and bright, the Fire button is reactive and comfortable to reach with your fingers, the 1,800mAh battery guarantees high autonomy.
