Im looking at purchasing the xtar WP211 charger but it only lists being compatible with the following batteries - 14500, 14650, 16340 (using spacers), 17670, 18350 (using spacers), 18500, 18650, 18700, 10440 and 16340. Looking at the Efest and AW battery lists I am only able to find the 18500 battery made by Efest and that AW only seem to list the 18490 battery which does not seem to be as easy to find a charger for. I would prefer to purchase the AW but do not want to purchase the above charger if the 18490 will not fit. The only other option would be to purchase the 18500 battery from Efest which the charger above clearly lists. I was wondering what the difference between these 2 batteries were since they are both listed as 1100mah.

The difference is quality my friend...

AW are consistently better than Efest when it comes to benchmark testing. Especially at higher amps.

I did eventually purchase the AW. My thread was not actually based on me considering purchasing an Efest battery however, since my charger did not list as being compatible with an 18490 and only an 18500, I was worried that I would have to purchase an Efest since I cold not find any 18500 AW IMR batteries. I kind of figured that it was in fact more or less the same battery physically which was later confirmed. So basically to cut a long story short, If a battery charger is listed as being compatible with an 18500 battery then this also means that it will work with a 18490... Correct?
