I have a Provari Mini with the Provari extension cap. I just bought a Tatroe extension ring. Looking for 18650 batteries.
I have AW 18350 and AW 18490s.

Someone has a couple of these I can buy from them, will they work?

Button top 18650 and 7Amp.
Battery's model number is LG18650D1 3000 mah 4.35V
68.8mm in length and 18.4mm in diameter

They can be charged to 4.2V's with a standard charger, or be charged to their full capacity with a special charger to 4.35V.

Will these be good for my Provari and will they run longer because they are higher mah? Is this overkill or are they unsuitable for the Provari?

This model contains all the great features of the larger model in a smaller more compact version. This model uses 18350 AW high drain batteries with the option to use 18490 batteries with the optional extension cap.

No, the battery you refer to is 68mm long, that sounds like a 18650 w/ protection circuit...the mini is an 18350 sized battery tube if I am not mistaken, 18500 if you use the extension

Part number LG18650D1 shows that it's a 18650

Those are bulk cheapies...I would NOT use them in the Provari...heck I wouldn't use them in anything but a flashlight (or maybe a portable power bank)!

I have the Mini with the tatroe extension ring and the provari extension cap. On the vendor site, Cigtechs, it said I could use use these together on my Mini and then I could use the 18650 batteries. Did I misunderstand that?
Available configurations:
Standard Provari - 18500, 18650 with extension ring
Provari Mini - 18350, 18500 with extension ring.
Provari Tatroe End Cap

I am not sure of the batteries, but you are correct if you have the extension cap an the tatroe ring you can use 18650 batteries.

Correct. :thumb:

That LG18650D1 3000 mah battery is a protected ICR battery (not IMR nor high drain). The Provari requires a "high drain" IMR battery (button top variety).

Provape states a few times on the product description page for the Provari that they recommend using only AW IMR batteries in the Provari. Having said that, the button-top Panasonic or Orbtronic NCR18650PF 2900mAh and NCR18650PD 2900mAh hybrid batteries (unprotected versions) will work safely in a Provari and have a higher mAh than the AW 18650 IMR 2000mAh batteries.

Thank you all and I totally agree with you. I had never heard of the battery I gave the info on and know just enough about this from reading Baditudes posts and blog to know if I do not recognize it, I had better ask. And Battery University is good, but confuses me.

I am not one of those people that will use something questionable to save a few dollars. That is just not smart. Be safe, not cheap. Cheap is good, but verify. I know I can get AW batteries from Provape and RTDvapes so I will just do that. No Ebay or Fasttech stuff. I have been using AW IMR batteries I got from Ahlusion and they look good, in red wrapper, and work fine so far.
