Wick Material and Kanthal OFFline/Local?

Where could I get wick material (silica, ss mesh, etc) and kanthal without having to order online?

I'm thinking something like Home Depot, Walmart, or somewhere like that, since I don't really have the money for shipping right now. It would seem easy enough to obtain some from local stores.

grainger ind supply has ss mesh but i think they were alittle more than Mcmaster Carr check it out and see if it covers the difference for shipping most major cities have a grainger store

For cotton wicks a lot of people love the peaches and cream 100% cotton at walmart. And walgreens sells a 100% organic cotton balls, I don't remember the brand off hand. FYI you cannot dry burn with cotton and you should boil it in water before use. I have yet to find a local shop for kanthal wire/ribbon, silica, or food grade ss mesh. I also thought it would be easy to find and repurpose. I have since ordered online. There are various places that offer supplies very cheaply and sometimes free shipping. One such is lightening vapes. They sell on ebay and amazon http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=221245687265 the price on this ekowool with cotton center is usually $4.99 and free shipping. When they are low or out of stock the price is astronomical. I hope this helps

When I look up Kanthal, often I find speaker wire. Would that be compatible?

What is Kanthal used for other than vaping?
