I was wondering if I am wrapping my coils correctly. I usually use ss mesh with kanthal 32a gauge wire. If all the coils illuminate at generally the same brightness is that perfect? I know hot spots make the coil/coils illuminate brighter than the other coils. Does anyone have any pics to show the result of a perfectly wrapped coil?

Taken from another thread here on ECF. From what I've read basically they should all be the same color. If only the top is getting red/orange/white (white is bad, too hot) you have a short. If you're trying to use juice and a few spots on your coil are red/orange/white you have hotspots that need fixed (either the whole coil should look hot, or cold, no spots).
