Water and flavor?

I understand adding distilled water to thin out VG. But I read somewhere in the last few days that it also makes flavor pop as compared to the same recipe without it.
I am comfortable with a broad range of final PG/VG ratios from 30/70 to 70/30.
My bulk nic is 60mg 40/60 PG/VG and I have bulk PG and VG. To keep it simple on all recipes my PG/VG additive will go in 50/50.

So to my point, at this ratio I will not need distilled water, but is there a definitive benefit to using it in small doses regardless?

I do this too .. regardless if it's all VG, 50/50 VG or only 20-30 VG .. just makes it taste a little better IMHO.

I think you will see a variance here, some use more, some use less. For me, when I use 40% VG I add 4-5% distilled water. If I use a higher % of VG I use a higher percent of water. If I use all VG I use 10-12% water. But others may use more or less.

I use only VG and my range is 7-14%. I've read some go as high as 22 percent. It really boils down to preference and hardware methinks.

Does alcohol (everclear) do the same thing to DIY juice?

I don't add it to my mixes. I use cartomizers and put a drop or two of DW on the cartomizer when it needs it.

I make all of my mixes with 65PG 30VG and 5DW it helps with the flavor but also helps the juice to not burn as easily as it would without the DW.

I agree .. and I use a tank with a carto, the DW helps my chain vaping carto last much longer.
