I get 24mg unflavored PG from heavens gifts and cut it with VG and use flavorings from Dawn's DIY and capella's. I get great results. At least I prefer my results over other "american made" juices I've tried. Just start out with flavors you know you like and start at about 10% flavor and work up from there. Some flavorings are more efficient then others. It is cheaper and is actually kinda fun to mix. My favorite pricey one is MarleyB from Dawn.

DIY Flavorshack (dawn) has good kits for starting to DIY, I bought one when I started and it was a good deal, she also has good prices on little vials of flavorings if you want to try out a handful and not commit to a whole bottle (i think she uses Lorann's).

I can't of course say anything about US nic juices, but there is a noticeable difference between Dekang and Flavourart, for example. The latter is crystal clear, the former slightly yellowish. And I think tastes come out better with the FA juice.
I've only used the unflavored juice from Myfreedomsmokes, and I'm happy with it. Nearly water clear, slight nicotine odor, no real flavor apart from nicotine peppery when vaped.
