I know the article doesn't speak about e-cigs, but this makes me raise an eyebrow...

anyone have an info about this in regards to e-cigs, as in adding a reference to e-cigs in the by-law?

Buzz this is a good catch. We should get some people to be at the "hearings" to monitor just in case we need to take action.

well the only reason i brought it up was because, e-cigs have been known to get bunched up in analogue by-laws.

so this by-law "expansion" may just give someone the opportunity to include e-cigs within that by-law.

I just thought i would make this aware, so that anyone within the e-cig community that was able to prevent this, would be able to.

At a glance, this looks like the same thing Vancouver and the municipalities did a few years ago. I doubt it will include ecigs specifically, but you never know.

FWIW, when ottawa went all "no smoking in any public place, like parks, beaches, etc" the bylaw office was contacted by phone and as well someone received a letter stating that PV's were exempt from the bylaw ..I think I even have a copy of that letter signed somewhere at my house
