I believe I saw a video of some guys in France that were working on some kind of induction atty. I haven't heard of that for a while. I remember they had a pretty good sized power supply running it.
I understand there were some experiments using ultrasonics to vaporize early on but, it didn't pan out. I don't know why.
There are a few rebuildable atties available the Bully A-2 and the Iatty are out there. There's another whose name escapes me at the moment. One of those, some silica rope and some nichrome or kanthal wire and you're done.
