One of the main gripes I know people had with the KGO VV battery was that the USB cable was supposedly proprietary and that people wanted to see a standard mini/micro USB charging port since if the cable goes dead vendors are not selling the cables and the battery will not charge on a traditional 420ma ego charger.

I did a little bit of research today about the cable based on the model number Brent from Hoosier put on his website and it so happens that the cable that comes with the battery is an old Nikon digital camera data transfer uc-e6 USB cable from before digital cameras used SD cards. Also, they are dirt cheap even after shipping!

Amazon has them:
Amazon.com: Nikon 25604 UC-E6 USB Cable: Camera & Photo

As does Ebay:
Usb Cable Uc-e6 - Get great deals for Usb Cable Uc-e6 on eBay!

Now, I am not sure if the newer Ego VV passthrough batteries that are almost identical to the KGO VV use the same port so if anyone knows, that might be useful as well.
