@CaptSteve
I'm about to start a stabwood 26650 sx350j but I only have two battery caps, no tube. This is my first stabwood attempt and first time using these caps. I'm having the wood milled out by someone else as I'm lacking the tools. could you guide me in the right direction for a possible way of wiring this thing? Is it possible to do a sx350J on stabwood without desoldering the pre installed pos neg wires?

Here's how to wire it with either single 18650 for a max of 60W or twin 18650's for 120W output. You will need to solder the wiring however

Thanks. I do know how to wire the sx350j as ive built a few. But I've never soldered to the battery caps before, I've only used keystones. I don't know how to get the inside battery contacts installed and then I'd assume since I don't have a tube I'd have to use my 510 as a ground?

You don't need a tube, you can bore out the stabilized wood to the depth required. make a brass disk as a positive contact and wire it to the BAT+ insert the battery and then the end cap you have and solder to the end cap the BAT- as the diagram.
You can epoxy the end cap tube in so when you screw the cap it's flush with the bottom of the mod

Easiest way and cuts down on weight
