White is so boring, and I found the finish got dirty so fast. I really wanted to cover it with something but stickers are so... sticky... And nail polish seemed like a bad idea, even after my friend suggested putting a toothpick in the hole to keep it clean. I used to use nail stickers/decals on the stainless one but had ran out. Then I saw the tattoos!
I had a couple sets of Fingrs Heart 2 Art nail tattoos, which are basically temp tattoos for your nails. They fit around the cig perfectly, even overlapping a smidge. They're a few mm too short so I cut a small strip off another and stuck it on the top. I've had them on for 24 hours now and they're still stuck on great, just getting a little dirty because of the slight stickiness, I didn't have any talc to dust on them last night. Now I wish I had a white cone too! I haven't tried it on the stainless but I dont think it would work well.
The only caveat about this is you need to use higher quality tattoos. I tried it with some Lisa Frank ones from the dollar store and they didn't work at all. I got some "adult oriented" ones from Michaels I will try after the current selection gets too dirty/worn.
