Starting a poll

I need some help with starting a poll. I was over on that forum and it says something about clicking on "start a new poll" and your poll is up on the forum.

I need a little more information than this as in a step by step how to. Do I just type in my question -

"Should there be a new social forum for support?"
"Yes"
"No"
"Reason for answer"
"What would you like to see in this forum?"
"What do you NOT want in this forum?"

What if I only want to run it for 2 weeks? Do I notify a mod to close the poll then?

Do I have to manually count the votes?
How do I enclose it in a nice little box?

Am I asking too many ???? Don't you dare answer that!!!

start a new thread in the polls forum, you can type a descriptive there.
scroll down, you'll see a checkbox for "Yes, post a poll with this thread", as well as how many options you want for answers.

select the box, then submit your thread. you'll get a second screen where you complete the poll question and answers, along with other options.
