Hey guys.. I purchased a spheroid second hand.. Just curious if there is anyone out there who is a fan of it or knows about it.. I could use some help with some tips and supplies needed or recommended builds etc.. Any info or links etc would be appreciated.. I never used it before,, so I am not sure what kind of filler material to get or what kind of wick etc..

Thanks in advance..

regards

I was slow to get a Spheroid, after being a big fan of GP mods, but it's truly a wonderful device and I've been using them pretty exclusively for the past month.

I got one a few days ago, and love it!

This is my build: 28g wire, 6 wraps on a 5/64" bit for 1.15 ohm. Wicked with rayon, one tail up, one down. Used the GP fluff. Wrapped it around the stem til there was enough to fill the tube.

I admit to not checking others' builds or reviews though. I like to freelance these days :)

Yes, you need some type of filler material to hold your e liquid. I'm trying the GP fluff right now since that's what the Spheroid is meant to use. I have Titanium Mod's fluff in my Prometey though. Its a little cheaper and easier to cut so I may try it in the Spheroid as well. Or you can use aquarium filler, which is the least expensive option. I couldn't find any locally so I need to see what others are ordering.

I have a spheroid. Most reliable atomizer I have. Im more into lung hitters but I always go back to the spheroid when my other atomizers are acting up. Just a quick bit of advice, The magic is in how much filter material you have in there. Its gotta be just right, not too packed and not too loose. I use cotton as wick rather than silica. I just cut off both sides at the diameter of the atomizer and it works so well like that.

edit: The reason I stopped using silica was that Id keep getting dry hits with it.

i use 45 ppi reticulated aquarium foam for the filler. Its works quite well. bought a huge chunk on ebay. Enough for hundreds of spheroids.

Having had aquariums, this is the first thing I thought of when I was thinking of getting a Spheroid a couple years ago. I have one now, and Im sorry I waited so long, love it. I got a bag fulls from when I bought my Spheroids second hand. As soon as I run low, Im going to get this foam and give it a try. Any good filter material made for aquarium use should be good. Fish are some of the most delicate creatures around, so if its safe for them, it should be fine for us.

the foam lasts longer than the fibrous material. after time, I noticed with the fibrous/filler type material, they tend to get clogged or lumps of juice that don't fall down to the atomizer. with foam this is not an issue. best of luck!
