So, the Empire...

While I really like the look of the Empire, I'm not very interested in that chipset. Has anyone seen anyone transplant a dna or YiHi or basically *anything* else into one of these?

If I could put a spare DNA60 or 75c in it I'd get one in a heartbeat.

Anyone?

That's the massive letdown.

They got the design, materials and handfeel nice. Then put a chipset in the mix that completely ruins all the good.

Its really got me wondering what companies are actually doing really, as they're definitely not reading the market it seems.

Ok. I know what it looks like now. They very helpfully have a image of the pcb too. If you got a pcb OF THAT SIZE with THE BUTTONS IN THE SAME PLACES you could probably just swap it out. If the form factor was the same but the buttons were different it still might be manageable. If the form factor was DIFFERENT Dremel if plastic would be needed and the probability of it working goes waay down. Does look cool though.

If it’s lostvape it should already have a DNA chipset. I’ve got a therion and another (I forget which, two battery squonk) they both have DNA pcbs I think….. unless they started making their own in which case yeah.

It's a got an LV Quest chipset @bombastinator2, which is a bit of a letdown really.

A DNA75C would be a perfect fit for it.

I'm not sure on the mount for the board, but the button placement and cutouts seem to match up at least.

Mounting can always be done with a nonconductive adhesive instead of screws, so if the buttons line up and the pcb even just mostly fits it seems real possible.
