Can someone tell me the difference between an Ego and a Riva. I'm looking to get a starter kit for my brother, and he liked the Ego I had. Just that I saw the Riva kits at Liberty Flights for such a deal that I was wondering if they are equal performance wise, and how does battery battery life compare? Also do smartcarts fit on the Riva with the cone, and if so, how do they perform?

The Riva is an ego-like fat battery that's not made by Joye. They're equivalent in terms of output and compatible with all ego and 510 stuff (assuming you get the Riva 510 and not the Riva 901 which is for 901 stuff). Riva batteries have slightly more life than standard egos (750mAh vs. 650mAh), and are available in larger sizes (1300mAh for Riva vs. 1000mAh for eGo).

Smartcarts work on regular 510 atomizers, and regular 510 atomizers work on the Riva. You should also be able to use eGo-T tank atomizers on a Riva.
