Silver plated contacts

As we all know over time your contacts build up a slight bit of corrosion. And they have to be cleaned. How should I go about cleaning silver plated contacts with out removing the silver plating?

just wipe them off with alcohol, some people use a pencil eraser. not really corrosion it is just oxidation.

mod makers say not to use noalox on contacts as it is too abrasive and will wear off the plate AND it is less conductive then the sliver and you dont want that in the way of the connection

ahh another from Nawlinzz... non abrasive cleaners ( vinegar?) how about silver polish? seems logical..

Silver is just as conductive when it's oxidized. I leave mine be.

I am not sure about the best way to clean silver plated contacts.
I found out Friday that a local independent jewelry store in my town can coat silver with Rhodium.
Once coated with Rhodium, your contacts will hardly ever need cleaning again. The owner said he was doing the Rhodium coating on a lot of rings so they would stay clean.
MMV is now putting the Rhodium coating over the silver coated brass contacts in the Poldiac V2 series.

Born and raised but locals don't actually say nawlinz lol that started from a bad fake accent in a movie When we say New Orleans it comes out more like new orlins
Anyways I hit them with a pencil eraser and they are as good as new
