I have both the RS and the Maxi RS. One switch has a raised battery contact point and the other has a flat contact point. The one with the flat contact point can not be used with flat-top batteries. The one with the raised contact point is A-OK with flat-tops. And, it was shaped raised on purpose by whomever soldered it.

The 1.5 ohm dual coils with fresh off the charger 5.0v batts at around 5.4v = 3.6 amps. The switch is rated for 3.0 amps.

Therefore, i want to have a spare switch on hand. My question is: Are the switches all supposed to have a raised battery contact point? If I order a spare, should it or shouldn't it be useful for flat top batteries without me having to add some solder myself?
