OLYMPIA, March 6.If youre going to be around the Capitol sundial Saturday at noon, youre going to see what promises to be one of the most amazing spectacles ever witnessed at a statehouse protest a angry crowd that literally fumes.
Merchants and users of electronic cigarettes are hoping for a throng a thousand strong. Theyll be blowing some the Legislatures way. But there wont be a cough in a carload because its not smoke, its vapor. Right now lawmakers are considering a proposal that would impose such high taxes on the burgeoning e-cigarette trade that it might well snuff the biz. Advocates say a cigarette is a cigarette, and it ought to be taxed like one. Frustrated vapers say the Legislature doesnt have a clue.

"LOS ANGELES VAPE/ECIG RALLY TOMORROW: 1:30 PM- PERSHING SQUARE
Dear colleagues, friends and clients,
I write to make you aware of the public assembly scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, Saturday March 8, 2014, in Pershing Square which is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, California commencing at 1:30 PM.
Entitled "Save Vape LA", the event is presented by the IMPROOF Movement (www.IMPROOFMovement.com and #IMPROOF) and sponsored by The Smoke Free Alternative Trade Association, CASAA, Emperor Brands, Vape Revolution and Craft Vapery as well as my law firm Daman & Associates.
Save Vape LA was created to enable the vaping/e-cig community and its supporters to voice their opinions and concerns regarding the new ordinance passed by the LA City council which bans the use of personal electronic vaporizing units (PEVUs) such as closed tank, electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) and open tank "mods" and vape pens in the same manner as tobacco products such as cigarettes.
