Question about GP Paps 2.5 lux, 18490 battery is to small? So i can only use 18500?

I just purchased a GP Paps 2.5 lux from the classifieds and it came with the 18350 and 18500 tube.

Usually something that accepts a 18500 also accepts a 18490. This is my first GP so i am curious as to why my AW IMR 18490s are to small? I adjust the telescopic center pin to try and reach the 18490 battery but it wont reach the battery and if i screw it out to much of course it comes out.

So are these strictly 18500? I use AW IMR 18490s

Anyone who owns or has experience with the GP Paps could give me some advice that would be great, Thanks.

I have one. As I recall the first couple of rounds the pin that came with them basically only worked with 18500. Afterwards Perseas included an additional, longer pin. Not sure with yours if it should have come with the additional pin or not.

EDIT: If you want to get the pins can grab them at the following place. Not gold plated, but brass is fine.
