Seriously though...

A lot of these Hollywood folk spend a lot of time and effort in the activism arena.
Why are they not using their star power to promote vaping, even while they are vapers?

I still say it's because their agents tell them to stay clear of this issue.
And that's because nicotine users are the new punching bags.

The anti-smoking mafia has turned their sights towards nicotine, and the public has been sufficiently brainwashed to believe them.

Do you not all see that we have to fight for the idea that nicotine is not evil?
Do you not all see that we have to fight for the idea that nicotine is no worse than caffeine?

Well, maybe we really should be fighting for the idea that nicotine is better than caffeine.
But one step at a time I guess.

It's an interesting idea. But it would only work if, like wheez points out, the good guys are the ones vaping and the bad guys are the ones smoking.

In the movie Skyfall both the good guy and the bad guy liked the same (placed) product

You do have a point. Hollywood does tend to bring attention and help to desensitize the general public to issues. Just take Ellen Degeneres and her TV sitcom. When she came out in that show it was groundbreaking. It lead to having more gays on TV, essentially desensitizing the general public and allowing gays to be more accepted.

Hollywood can be a powerful tool.

Thats true. Now if we could just get Hollywood to make a movie normalizing the forbidden love between a man and his pet Liger (combination Lion and Tiger), we'd be on to something. Maybe then, the public would see us differently and not as freaks.
