Need Info About Charging Batteries using Spacers

Has anyone here ever used spacers to charge their batteries in the charger? Do they go in from of the batteries, or behind the batteries? I have an Ultra Fire Rapid Charger (Black)WF-139, and I am charging AW RCR123a Protected 750 mAh Batteries. They are to short for to charge just one battery, so I bought the spacers when I got the batteries. I just don't know how they are to be used when charging. The charger says "Ultrafire WF-139 Charger for 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 / RCR123 3.7 volt Lithium Battery Charger" So it should charge them. Or do I need to get a different charger just for these aw rcr123a protected batteries?

If the battery is too short, place the spacer(s) at the positive end of the battery.

I've heard it doesnt really matter...but I always put mine in at the positive end anyway...just seems easier with the charger I have...
